  1. It should be possible to get a taxi at that hour.

There is just 2 ships at Oceankaj that day and Regal Princess is docked at Terminal 3 so you get the benefit of docking at Terminal 1 and that is the one closest to the main road in the port.

Thank you very much. Your help is invaluable. We are staying 2 nights before our cruise too so have been following your advice about how to get from the airport to our hotel, what to do and where to go .Off to buy my city pass soon.

  2. Yes We took the train. It is a wee walk to the train but once on very easy. Once we arrived we paid (not much) for the bus outside the station which took us to the free ship transfer bus outside the port.

I would do it again, much cheaper.

For the way back to the airport we booked a private transfer.

Not many people embark at Rome so it is not al all busy, we had no queues at all to get on or off.

  3. Hello

We are off on the Epic from Barcelona over Easter and have a couple of questions:-

Does the public sun deck on deck 18 have comfy ie padded sun beds - I've seen different photos which seem to show different things.

Also does anyone have a recent menu of wines by the glass - I've seen an old one which seems to have a good variety but have heard the new one is quite reduced.

    Thanks

Yes, at the bow of the ship, next to the Posh area. we always found it very quiet...it is down stairs and a lift to the bar though!

  4. Depends what you want to see. It is about an hour to Rome from the cruise ship terminal. It is mega hot in July so we didn't really get that hungry, just drank loads of water and there are lots of taps in Rome to fill a water bottle up with. Personally I found the inside of the Colosseum really interesting and you can buy a combined forum/colosseum ticket if you want. You can get there by bus and train and go for a hop on hop off bus tour yourself or get a group together and book a private transfer in and out? It would probably be cheaper?

  5. We did Rome - Rome and it was a mega easy get on and off...not a queue in sight. We used the train and the bus from Rome to the ship then used a limo transfer back. All really easy and the transfer met up directly outside the ship. we were at the airport within the hour.

On the Barcelona day some of us did a hop on hop off bus tour in the town, 2 did a DIY tour on the underground and 2 of us stayed on a wonderful empty ship!

I would do it that way again.
