I have no problem with this. I don't think anyone should remove it.

Does anyone have the recipe for the delicious potato soup in Cagney's? Would love to know how they make it.
-
If we bring Tupperware and slip our omelet in it then it won't fall off in the elevators or stain the carpets!
-
I don''t understand the difference either - they are sister ships.
-
Quite a few posts on their page about people complaining about the 7.95 charge.
-
Supposedly this is a 'test' for two weeks on BA and GA. (from a reliable source...TA)
-
Hate to say it but it appears to be true. Someone in a cruise group I'm in just posted one of the Daily papers and it says a 7.95 convenience fee will be added to all orders.

We'll be boarding in 23 days also! Can't wait - have wanted to sail this ship for a long time. Thanks for your review - sounds great!

I have cruised both ships also. I loved the Getaway and the entertainment was wonderful. We had the Ultimate dining so it was great too. The Oasis wins though for the pool areas and how can you beat Central Park? When we were on there was a Spanish guitarist out there playing while a dozen people listened. It was great. Shopping on Oasis is better than the Getaway imo (although I do most shopping in ports). Have fun! Great ship! Can't go wrong with either one of them really! Do rememeber to reserve your shows ahead of time.

Ship tracker is showing her southeast of Nantucket so she must have stayed somewhere in the bay most of the night.
-
Almost looks she's heading back toward Boston.

I agree with you. We were on the Glory in Feb. with the new menus and were not impressed. Lots of choices missing on the dessert menu.

Call the number on the certificate during "normal" business hours. I had to last week as we wouldn't be using ours before it expired. I had the credit back on my crecit card within a couple of days.
Thanks......If I don't hear from her by email soon I will do that. Glad to hear you got yours back.

I have two of the old Future Cruise Certificates that we purchased right before they were doing away with them. At the time of purchase we were told that if we did not use them we could get our money back (of course not in writing). I don't see us using them as we've pretty much moved on. I sent an email to Carnival support and heard back, emailed info back and have not heard a word. Has anyone else tried to turn them in?
-
Nice review so far Brenda! Sure looks like you had a great time!
-
Last 20 or so have been with Carnival and while we have alway had a great time entertainment has gotten pitiful.
Doing our first princess next month and looking at going back to RCCL after that.
We may be done with Carnival until they recognize and improve their entertainment.
I agree with you. Have done 20 on Carnival, 4 on RCCL (Oasis was the best cruise ever) and 6 on NCL (with Breakaway and Epic booked). I think my cruise mid Feb. was my last Carnival one. The entertainment, like you said, is awful. I would rather pay a little more and get something worth watching at night.

No receipts on the Glory the other week either. In Nov. we only got one on the Conquest if we asked and even then we sometimes never received it. They are nice to have so you can check it against your statement.
-
I am just recently off of the Glory also. Did not care for the new menus...lots of things missing and hate the no tablecloths. Makes for a noisy dining room. Even the maitre de' didn't like it.

Awesome! Thank you! I really think I want to do that tour! Looks great! Have a wonderful dinner!

Looking forward to reading how you liked the Cozumel Bar Hop...thinking of it maybe next November. Your ship looks very empty....is it? Hope Andy is enjoying himself and staying out of trouble! ;)

Sounds like you and Andy are having a great relaxing time! Thanks for posting the pictures so we can all follow along! Enjoying 'cruising' with you! Glad you haven't had to cook ;) Enjoy!

It's cooling down. I need to put long pants on.... ;-) Know all you folks in the great white north would love to dagger me for that. :-) You all are here in spirit and hopefully it will help warm your hearts and warm your feet. Andy says "Yo"!

My heart bleeds for you having to put long pants on! It's 13 degrees here in Massachusetts and we have about 10 inches of snow coming Sunday! Have a great trip! Send some heat our way!

Why is there a service charge?
The reason there's a fixed service charge is an important one: Our Crew (as are the crew from other lines) is encouraged to work together as a team. Staff members including complimentary restaurant staff, stateroom stewards and behind-the-scenes support staff are compensated by a combination of salary and incentive programs that your service charge supports.
