We are cruising with a large family group in July. Some of them have expressed an interest in helmet diving in Cozumel. We usually spend the day at Mr. Sanchos there. Wondering if we could mix things up and find a similar place in Costa maya. I did not see helmet diving in Costa maya but if anyone knows of any???

Mikey is one of the best I have ever had...19 Carnival cruises...but he will be leaving in January...not sure where he is going. Christine left and Mikey was promoted...no one would tell me why she left, but I am under the impression she left the company.

Current Cruise Director is Mikey, and we really liked him. Dynamic, yet not intrusive. Always available to mingle with guests and answer any questions. One of the best we have ever had!

I've never seen any theme nights besides formal night on carnival. I've sailed on 3,4,5,and 7 day cruises. Enjoy!

My husband and I sailed the Fantasy on our honeymoon in 1991. We just booked a cruise for July 2017 sailing out of Mobile. So excited to sail on this ship again. I should probably try to find out what cabin we were in all those years ago.

We just got off the ship and yes they have the new American Table menu. Maybe they've had a few months to get thing ironed out but we enjoyed our meals and thought there was a nice variety!

My mother will be cruising with us & she is used to getting her hair done twice a week. Is there a hair salon on the Freedom? Can she make an appointment? Do we do that before the cruise or once she boards?

Does anyone have an idea of the distance we will need to walk from where our carnival ship docks to the outside gate area where we meet our reps for Little French Key? Just want to know if we need to get transportation to the gate for some in our party.

Answered my own question. LOL! Found this on their site under reservation:

For guests arriving at the Mahogany Bay Port terminal: If you wish to avoid the short walk to the outside of the gate you can always use the services of a Taxi from the inside of the port for $2 per person to reach our pick up point outside of the Port’s gate. The good news is that in the afternoon when you return to the ship, we are allowed by the Port’s rules to drop you off all the way inside the port”.

Hi, How far is the walk from the port where Carnival Freedom ports to the outside gate where we meet the people for LFK? I read on the site that we could take a taxi to the outside gate but on the return they can bring us all of the way to the boat.

We have decided that this one looks more interesting for our family as there seems to be more included. I wondered if anyone had any recent experience with this tour. We will be booking through Carnival.
