I hope this link works. I posted lots of pictures and I think answers to most of your questions.  Look for my post on this thread.  These are from the Discovery this April.  I think you’d have to talk to the folks in the spa regarding having any treatments in the sanctuary.

The Royal class ships and the Island have cabanas.  The Grand class ships do not. I’m not sure what ship you are sailing on.

I have Sanctuary  pictures from Grand, Island and Ruby too.

Thank you very much.  We will be on Regal.  I've been on Royal once before but I vaguely remember much of that area as we didn't use it.

  2. Heading out in 3 weeks time and wanted a little bit more info on the Sanctuary and it’s offerings. I’m aware that I can book a half day or full day for the regular chairs-does anyone have an updated price for that?

Possibly looking at booking one of the private cabanas in the Sanctuary and wondered what all came with that offering.

Lastly, if we booked on the website, a spa treatment…are we able to move that up into the Sanctuary, or those are separate from what can be pre-purchased on the website?

    Thanks so much!

Thanks for following along with us! Give us a couple weeks to rest up and you can follow along on our “Live” 24 day Celebrity Summit Canada, Iceland and Greenland B2B. 😁

I'll definitely be following along with this "live" as the hubs really wants to go to Iceland. He made mention of it last night and I said don't worry, there's a cruise for that!

This afternoon after an early sailaway, we went to Beat the Cruise Director, which was totally fascinating and not what we expected. I’m not going to say how, but I highly recommend you go to see it if Dan France is your CD on an upcoming cruise. I’ve got say, Dan has been one of the most multitalented CDs we’ve ever had the pleasure of sailing with.

Do we know how long he is on the ship for? Hoping to have him for our Aug 20th sailing.

Have you tried requesting early ticketing?  My outbound was ticketed at 60-something days for some reason.  I had not requested early ticketing.  My return was not ticketed.  This whole thread had me worried so today I requested early ticketing and my return was ticketed within 3hrs (website said within 3 days).

I have requested it, a few weeks ago actually...still nothing.

  6. We are in the same boat. Our outbound flight to Rome for 8/17 has yet to be ticketed, but our return flight was ticketed right away. Our TA has been trying to get answers, but keeps getting the run around. I'm hoping at the 45 day mark everything will be good 🤷‍♀️

@CruzerDeb, we went to Rome several years ago. We toured with Rome in Limo and, if I recall correctly, also has Stefano as a guide. We even stayed in the same hotel, Albergo del Senato. One of my favorite memories is of the Piazza della Rotunda at night from in front of the hotel. I look forward to reading your final thoughts on your cruise.

This makes me so happy, as we will be doing a tour with the same company as well as staying at the same hotel.  I can't wait to see the Piazza at night, one of the reasons I booked one of their higher category rooms!

We’re staying at the Albergo del Senato and it’s just what I had in mind. It’s located across from the Pantheon, includes a nice breakfast and they have a terrace bar.

This has me very excited for our upcoming trip in August! We are staying at the same hotel, so I will look into the company you used for transfer from airport to hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to do a “Live from”, I can’t wait to follow along on your journey!

Get a note from your dr stating your due date, and the fact that it is a healthy pregnancy and you are medically cleared to sail.

I needed to eat small meals frequently when I was pregnant, so take food off the ship (sealed containers best.  Fruit prohibited, yogurt in sealed containers or if they still have cereal boxes that's helpful).

I was pregnant with my first two children on cruises (Alaska with my first, Baltics with my second) and it was quite lovely.  tiring, but lovely.  I loved always having easy access to food when I was pregnant.  Oh, and bear in mind you can't have cold cuts unless they are heated to steaming (which most places don't understand and can't accommodate)  so you might need to purchase food ahead of time for the plane.

Good to know about the plane. Didn’t even think about that. I believe we get to choose our meals, so hopefully no cold cuts are on our dinner or breakfast menus.

  10. Hi all,

Husband and I just found out that I am pregnant. We are already booked and paid in full on our European cruise. I should be 15 weeks (haven't had my first dr appt yet, so this is best guess) when we fly out to Rome.

I've searched for other topics on being pregnant while cruising, but most topics are from 2020 and earlier, so just looking for some current information/advice. Our cruise is itinerary heavy and we have an excursion for each port. Knowing that it will be the dead of summer and quite warm, I'm trying to prepare myself with what I need to bring to make sure that I stay comfortable.

I've been looking forward to this trip, and now even more so because we will use it as a means of announcing it to friends/family.

Any and all positive information and/or advice is welcome!

We can't get the specialty dining reservation to work, won't load at all.

Same...hopefully they will get it figured out, sooner rather than later.

Can you tell me where to find the place to choose boarding time?  Now that the app was updated I can't find it.

Under travel checklist, click on personal information & documents...scroll down to the "suggested" box and there is a box for arrival and departure groups 🙂

  12. Alright, I just can't keep any of this straight anymore.

If this is still the case come August...If we fly out on Wednesday evening (17th) and land at FCO the next morning (18th), but board on the 20th...are we cleared to get a rapid test Wednesday morning-and it fits in the 3-day window or are we better off getting one at one of the many pharmacies in Rome?

  13. After weeks of looking at various hotels and reading comments here...I finally booked our pre-cruise hotel at Albergo del Senato in a superior double (How great to be able to overlook the Pantheon).  Seems to be a wonderful place to begin our anniversary celebration!
