Is the CCL stock OBC credit getting extended to 2019 voyages?
-
What a waste of space and what a discredit to the Seabourn brand. Sometime you just have to wonder.
Yep!
Too bad there are no Like or Heart ❤️ buttons on CC. It might help everyone to convey how they feel about things.

This is a Seabourn cruise not a mainstream bun fight.
Henry :)
It would be delightful to have a School Dinner bun fight.
-
Googled and found that there was a scam in 2012 with a fake Seabourn River Cruise company based in London. They wanted the job applicants to send money to cover visa costs.

I add a bit of cassis to NF so I can drink it, but I'd rather not have to do that.
I agree with the others about a nice sparkling wine. We currently drink Carpen? Malvolti after trying a few others.

They were able to produce the menu but said they didn't have several of the ingredients for most of them. Too bad.
That's pretty sad.

Any updates on the cocktail front?
-
Yep, me too. There a lot of nibblies that go better with champagne IMHO.
-
They claim it's due to sourcing & availability issues - many of us think it's due to pricing.
Of course it's pricing. The bean counters are behind every decision these days. Not that I blame them, but just get on with it. A name brand champagne would do wonders for their image and cause more folks to consider trying/moving over to Seabourn from the competition. And as all us fan-boys know, once you try Seabourn there's a good chance you're hooked. How much is that worth in their business case?
-
..... they have not been successful yet on finding a replacement....
Thanks. Oh well, but don't know why it's taking so long. We sail in four weeks. It would have been nice.

Any news on the Champagne front? Still NF?
-
Just looked up what we paid in Feb 2015. It was $20 USD for a one way trip from Da Nang airport to Hoi An and it was not per person. $90 per person is just way way too much.
-
Thank you for the advice. Could you suggest a private driver?
The place where we stayed arranged one. It would be cheaper to arrange one out of Hue/Da Nang home base.
Yes, the town is old. That's why it's full of tourists.
-
Where does the ship stop -- Hue or Da Nang? Hopefully Da Nang. We stayed in Hoi An two years ago and it's a nice little town. Great shops and buildings and food. Even more pretty at night. I'd get a private driver and skip Marble Mountain on the way to max out your time in Hoi An.

Where could you see this?
This it what I am looking for. :)
I searched on both pier 4 and pier 15, and based on what popped up, pier 15 seemed more likely....
-
Thats exactly what I could not figure out! Is it pier 4 or pier 15?
So we will see when we are there ....
I'd bet on pier 15 from what I can see on the Web.....

Hallo,
And I still coundn't find where in Manila we will dock, any ideas?
Thank you.
The cruise terminal is located at pier 4 within walking distance of Old Manila (by Rizal Park). The locals will be putting on a nice welcoming party on the pier, not only for the passengers but also for the Filipino crew on your ship. If your cabin attendant is Filipino, it is a nice gesture to give him/her the day off. At times pier 15 may be used.

Arriving ships will also miss most of the world class sail in but for those leaving the sail away should be epic!
Enjoy.
It looks like Sojourn departs 5pm, but the Symphony of Lights is at 8pm. I hope that we will still catch it. There is no rush as the next days are both sea days.
-
Yes, we are sailing out of Kai Tak on March 18 according to our Seabourn documents.
I have asked if there is a shuttle someplace we could catch, but nobody from Seabourn Guest Relations has responded in over a week.

I am curious as to the fate of the goodies that are all wrapped up.....
-
It hasn't been working for 2 weeks. They are aware of the problem.
One way to find out is to click on the Continue button on the screen where you normally click the particular cabin category. Just pretend that you are making a booking and it will lead to select deck. It will show you prices and also empty cabins.
A bit of work, but you find out the prices.

According to hotel manager Peppi, the new contract with Bollinger did not work out; instead, they'll be switching to Taittinger (even better!). However, when asked if the switch will in fact take place with Encore, he said he couldn't say because it may take a while to deplete the existing Nicolas Feuillatte inventory.
A plea to all guests sailing on the Sojourn before March 2017 .
Please drink up the Nic Fizz so we can have some lovely Tattinger. I know you can do it. We're counting on you!

You and Chairsin are so funny and help make reading CC fun!!! Thank you. :)
I love Chairsin too. She? was the first to answer my newbie question many years ago and continues to provide great answers to posters to this date.
There is no way to thank posters on this forum, so I thought it was time to come out and publicly thank Chairsin for all the help over the years.

I think 9am is fine. Gives you a chance to eat and then collect your bags before setting off to meet the guide. Why rush.....
