My question is - which one?

We are a family with two teenage children. One is a vegetarian so I have already booked the Sublime Restaurant for one night (so looking forward to that!)

We have another night before our cruise and will have returned our hire car by then. So where should we go for our evening? Los Olas sounds interesting but the Hard Rock Seminole looks good too. Help appreciated!

We arrive at MIA at around 3pm and are hiring a car to travel to Fort Lauderdale - we are staying at Crowne Plaza for two days pre-cruise.

On the drive through we will be in no hurry and wonder what we really should see in Miami?

I have another question that I will post separately.

Emmy, thanks for your comments and info. We will be doing this same itinerary in August. We have never dined in the speciality restaurants because our kids were too young but would like to this time. However, I don't want to miss any formal night and I want to see every show so I am unsure which nights to book!

Could you possibly help with what nights were formal and which shows were which nights? I would be so grateful.

We are sailing in Vision to Bermuda on the August 18 sailing.

We do not usually try the speciality restaurants but on Celebrity last year we did and we loved it. So this sailing I want to try Izumi, Chops and Giovannis - I understand there is a package?

Anyway my question is around the shows. They are important to us and I don't want to miss any so I have no idea what days to book the restaurants.

If anyone who has recently sailed Vision can help then I would be really grateful :)

Please could someone advise me. We are sailing from Ft.Lauderdale in August. Flying into Miami and renting a car which we return to Ft.Lauderdale airport on the morning we sail. We can get a shuttle from the airport to the port.

My question is this - can we drop our luggage at the ship before returning the car? It will be better for us to just travel on the shuttle from the airport without the luggage. Has anyone done this?

Does anyone have a recent Cruise Compass from Vision please? I'd love some idea of activities and also of what times the shows are and whether there are two showings. I'm on MTD and have to decide what slot to book.

SO thrilled to see this review - especially as we will be in the cabin that was adjoining yours this August! It will be our first time really aft and I LOVE the fact the balcony fits two loungers on.

We will be staying in the Crowne Plaza Fort Lauderdale for three nights pre cruise in August. We will be hiring a car when we arrive in Miami.

Does anyone have any recommendations for places we can eat that have vegetarian options? Our daughter is veggie and as long as there are a couple of choices on the menu she is fine. Maybe Italian - love that fettucine alfredo! I know that most places will do a veggie burger.

We have had My Time dining - or the equivalent - on RCL, Princess and Celebrity. We are two adults and two kids. We have never made a reservation, just joined the line. The longest wait was 10 mins. Sometimes we had a table for 4 and sometimes shared. I wouldn't dine any other way now.

Thanks for the info. However, to me there isa big difference in the taste of lemonade and Sprite, fizzy or not. But now I know if I am ever in Australia (it's on my bucket list;)) !!!

Sprite and 7up are actually lemon and lime flavoured. Lemonade is different. Without the lime, in fact!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I booked it! Aft, overlooking the wake.................trouble is, the travel agent is having problems getting flights. So I can see my lovely cabin but can't get to it..................fingers crossed!!

Could someone help me with some quick advice as I am about to book our cruise to Bermuda (YAYY!!) on Vision of the Seas.

We would like a Balcony D1 or D2 and we like aft. Usually we just have to decide port or starboard but this time there are some cabins right at the back. They are deck 7 and appear to have huge balconies. Travel agent says there is always 'white noise' (what the heck is THAT?) and not to have one. But the balconies look larger.........

Any advice? I can't decide and need your expert views!

Hello all, let me start by saying my name is Joe and I am new to cruising never been on one and considering it. Has anyone ever tried the p&o cruises 3 night cruise to Paris or any other cruise that is a taster with p&o or any cruise line out of the UK. Hope I have enough info and if anyone has any replies it will help. Thank you :)

Well Joe, once you try it, there will be no escape. My first cruise was a P & O taster - I booked it because Derren Brown was performing on it and my teenage daughter is a huge fan of his! It was three nights to Belgium and Holland.

Needless to say we loved it although I have never been on P&O since. That's just because I have found an itinerary and dates that matched what we wanted.

After that we did Princess and Royal Caribbean (LOVE that Oasis!) and last year we tried Celebrity for the first time.

Book it! Enjoy it!

We are cruising first time Celebrity on the Silhouette and have booked 1661 which is a C2 concierge. I love the aft of the ship and tried to get somewhere quiet. Can you let me have your thoughts on this location? It would be much appreciated :)

Well we are doing the same thing so we are hiring a car. You can collect it from one place and deliver it to another. So we are collecting from Miami, driving to Orlando for a week, then driving back to Fort Lauderdale and handing the car back there.
