Going on the Bliss at the end of March. What is the lounge like? Cigarettes allowed in there as well? Often overcrowded? Foggy?

I'm hoping it's not as bad as I have heard.

Thanks FranknBeans I'll definitely be bringing my own...

On a side note, do they have matches or lighters/torches?

I will be going the first week of March. When I was on the Breakaway the cigars were good and they did have matches and cutters.

  2. I have a friend with a situation. Her friend's  birth certificate says his name is Miguel and his driver license says Michael. We will be traveling in a closed loop cruise. Do you think there will be an issue? If so, how can it be fixed?

  3. I was surprised that the price went from 19.99 to 31.99 for the key. I called RCCL and the representative said he said that the 19.99 was a promotion. The 31.99 is the price for now. He said it is best to get it now because there will be a limited supply. If the price is reduced then you can cancel the previous keys and repurchased and the lower price. So tonight I saw them at 24.99 pp and I repurchased my keys. I am much happier. If it goes down again, I will repeat the process!!

  4. You would be best asking Dialysis of Seas. It is my understanding that this is only set up "as necessary". I would guess it would depend on the number of passengers requiring service.
It is not as necessary. Dialysis at Sea is set up in an area to do dialysis and the patients are required to give documents to company's medical department before they get on the cruise. My dialysis has a TV at every chair and was curious if their setup was the same.

  5. "Reverse" commute, is unlikely. Perhaps an accident may affect your travel, but leave with enough time to spare. You have all day (well, until 2:30 to board the ship). Why spend hundreds of unnecessary dollars, when you don't have to? Hotel room, parking, and meals equals $$$. Heck, you can leave home at 11am ....WAY past traffic time.....and get there easily, with time to spare. Just saying.

We are from Northwest, NJ.....so we travel WITH tons of traffic on route 80East...omg...to 287South....to 78East omg.....INSANE......bumper to bumper with NO accidents. We leave early (just in case) and have ALWAYS made it there with plenty of time to spare.

People would kill to be so close to a cruise port.

I am inquiring..have you seen the construction on the Lincoln tunnel..they were saying at some point about they were going to use one lane..does that effect us?

  6. We did the Oasis on Halloween last year and Taglovestocruise is correct. They had the same activities and also a best costume contest. There were some very creative costumes. The most popular costumes were pirates. I think they were leftovers from Disney cruises. We had so much fun we are going again on the Oasis this year!
Wow!! Then I am really looking foward to the festivities!!

  7. hey,

I cruised with dialysis of the seas a couple of years ago

The dialysis part of the cruise went fine, exactly like the treatment I get at my clinic

The staff and Nurses were wonderful and everything was taken care of, all supplies were on board, they even had supplies in case of an emergency

The bad part. While they tell you that the treatments might be covered by your health insurance company, I am going to tell you, expect to pay for that yourself. Those treatments run $575-$700

The worst thing that I encountered was that I was charged FULL fare for my room and so was my brother who shared my room. YOU MUST purchase your cabin from Dialysis of the seas and there are NO discounts!!! The stinker was when my family member not only got a $250 spending vouchure while on board but Royal Caribbean lowered their fares by 30% and I did NOT get either discount from Dialysis Of The Seas

So, to some things up, great service, no problems with getting treatment, but it is expensive and you are NOT going to get any of the discounts everyone gets!!

I will be sailing in the end of October on the RCCL Anthem of the Seas and the representative that sold me the cruise told me that we were saving more money than what the cruise line was offering. As far as reimbursement for the cruise my union insurance will cover my dialysis 100%! Now my question to you is do you get a confirmation of what time your treatments are so that you can make reservations for dinner?
