Hi - we'll be on the Encore 4/9/23-4/16/23. Has anyone done the ship excursion= COUNTRYSIDE SAFARI - LOCAL STYLE? If so, was it an open-air safari type vehicle, and did it go over very bumpy roads? Hubby has a bad back so that's out for us. Also, for the in-town tour, were there many steps? We're okay with a few steps but not big flights of steps. TYIA for replies!

We'll be on NCL Encore in April, arriving in Taino Bay in Puerto Plata on 4/14. Can anyone recommend a tour operator that can show us some of the area, and then go to Bergantin Beach? If you have been to that beach: do they have chairs/umbrellas to rent? PS we cannot do the open air/off road safari type vehicles - hubby has a bad back! TYIA for advice/suggestions!

Thank you! If I remember right, was it 2 separate apps you had to download once you were on the ship? It would be great to have instructions prior to boarding, the Wi-Fi desk usually had a long line.

Thank you! Do you still have to do the login/logout process every time you use the Wi-Fi, to avoid using up your minutes? Last time I cruised was 2019. I’m getiing unlimited but hubby will have 150 minutes.

Sailing on Encore 4/9-4/16/23! I like to keep in touch with my daughter and new grandson on Google Meet with a video chat. Can I do this using the Wi-Fi package on the Encore? NCL says I can, but I’m wondering if it actually works well? The last time I sailed in 2019 the Internet was spotty, at best. TYIA for any feedback.

We will be on NCL Encore to Puerto Plata (Taino Bay) on 4/15/23. We would like to go to a beach with chairs, umbrellas, SHADE if possible, restrooms and food/drink for a few hours. I've seen a few that seemed to be surrounded by hotels, are there any more natural ones that we can get to via taxi? Can you recommend a reputable taxi operator? PS I've read that you can get a taxi at the port, but I need to decide on the beach first so we know where we're going! Thank you!
