  1. We purchased the all inclusive package for our upcoming cruise. Question...in the OP post you said it included all but the in studio photos. Are those the more formal posed photos and do they cost extra. I was hoping for a few pics with our family dressed all dressed up. Thanks!!!

  2. My husband is an extreme introvert. Being around large crowds is very draining for him. This has gotten worse since he turned 50 a few years back. We have cruised before on Princess about 8 years ago so know cruise ships can get loud and crowded. He agreed to go on a family cruise in June to the Carribean as my 50th bday present to me. That being said I am looking for ideas of places he can relax during the day that are relatively quiet and crowd free. We are in a sky suite so the balcony is an obvious first choice but looking for other ideas from those who have been on Equinox. Thanks so much!!!!

  3. I know to each their own, but we love dressing up on cruises. We dress very nice every night for dinner, with a tux and evening gown on formal nights. I think that's part of the charm of cruising for me!

Thank you for the post. We love to dress up as well but haven't been on a cruise in 8 years. Last time DH wore his tux. Celebrity has done away with formal night. We have really been debating dressing up for our June Carribean cruise. I would love to buy a gown to wear. DH would love the tux. And our 12 year old really likes dressing up too...so maybe we will just go for it!!!:D:D

  4. That is not a fiasco. Hey, at least you tried. [emoji3] this is why I like pre-arranging for a private car service to pick us up. No guess work. From FLL to Miami is $70 plus tip ($88 total) for up to four people. No headache. No hassle. No worrying about taxi drivers getting stuck in traffic while the meter keeps running. No worrying about if Uber is surge pricing, and not having to do hotel pickup and drop-offs at multiple hotels with some shuttle companies. Have done all the above, and private transportation is my very favorite way to travel.

What car service do you use? We are flying into Miami 3 days early, staying in FLL then setting sail from Miami. We were planning to use Uber but I like the private transportation idea better.

  5. Hi all- We are taking a W. Carribean cruise June 1 on the equinox. We are trying to decide if deck 12 mid ship is better than aft on 9. I have heard deck 12 is a lot noisier but the balconies are completely covered which might be nicee in the hot Carribean Sun. Deck 9 has the benefit of the aft. We have never done but is not as covered. At least that is what I have read on cc boards. We are planning to spend a fair amount of time relaxing on the balcony. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!-

  6. The closest drugstore and liquor store is Walgreens on the corner of Oakland Park Blvd & A1A, about 1 mile north. The Walgreens has a decent selection of food and snacks, and the liquor store is next door.

    Thank you!!!!!

  7. I love maxi dresses and find them very versatile. I'm short, but there are plenty of places that offer petite sizing for maxis. I don't typically buy patterned clothing in general, so all of my maxis are solid colors. For me/my body, I try to find ones that are at fitted in the top.

I have a bunch of colors in this style from Nordstrom (free shipping/free returns all the time)

I also have had pretty good luck with maxis (or midis) from Banana Republic, Gap and even Old Navy over the years. I always buy the reg length as well as the petite length, because sometimes the regular length fits me fine.

    Good luck! Have fun shopping!

That is a really pretty dress. I love that it's jersey so will pack well. Thanks!!!!!

  8. Hi all,

We are planning a Western Caribbean cruise in the spring/summer of 2018. My husband, myself and our 12 year old son will be traveling. We are coming out of an intense and very stressful 2 years and need a great vacation. We cruised Princess about 9 years ago and loved it but are looking at other ships as well. Timing for work may limit us to a specific cruise. That said, we are trying to decide which line is best for us.

We are quiet low key people who want a good or great meal, time to relax in our rooms and read and just hang out on our balcony. We want to do as little as possible and have everything be as easy as possible. Our son doesn't need a lot of entertaining in the kids club and is happy reading and swimming. He wants to see the ruins. Costa Maya looks great for that and easier than Cozumel. Roatan looks very interesting but not a must. We are only planning to go ashore for 2 or at most 3 days. The rest of the time will be spent relaxing. My husband and I would love a good spa and DH loves good wine. We are planning to splurge on a suite and a few days pre-cruise wherever we end up. We are thinking Neptune if HAL, mini-suite if Princess and Skye Suite if Celebrity.

HAL looks great and the price is right but we are concerned about the age factor. We don't need same age people to hang out with but we have friends who thought we might not enjoy it because of the age difference. I am 50, DH 52. It didn't seem like a big deal until our friends mentioned it.

Anyone who has cruised any or all of these lines...I would love information or opinions about the differences, what you loved, which is the most stress free and relaxing line.

    Thank in advance!!!!!
