  1. Thank you ladies!!! I am petite but find I can fit into some regular tops. Definitely have some hips and a bit of a belly at my age but not in plus. Also, capris in regular can end up being regular length on me. Maxi dresses look so fun but I don't have any. They seem easy for a cruise but can sometimes be overwhelming on me if they are a pattern. We are in a rural area so do a lot of my shopping online then take a trip a few times a year to Phoenix for in person shopping.

So fun to plan. So I now have a few websites to browse. Had not thought of WHBM or Target!

  2. Hi Ladies,

DH, DS and I are planning our first vacation in 3 years. Life has been a bit challenging so we are off to the Carribean next May or June. I want to pick up some fun clothes. I like sundresses for days but would also love a fancy dress for dress up nights. Where do you shop for fun cruise clothes. I am soon to be 50 so like classic...nothing to crazy. Planning is half the fun so would love some ideas so I can start looking.

    Thanks in advance!!!

  3. If you have a suite and can access Michael's does it make sense to buy a drink package. We are planning on sailing the Equinox for a 7 day Caribbean cruise in June. I don't drink but like coffee and tea drinks, occasional soda, or virgin blended drinks. My husband likes before and after dinner drinks and wine with dinner. Sometimes wine or beer with lunch and a bloody Mary for breakfast since on vacation.:) Our son, 11, will love the lemonade and non-alcoholic blended drinks. I have read that some go to Michael's for before and after dinner drinks, so maybe a wine package for my husband? And a non-alcohol package for my son and I. Or should we just plan to use Michael's for everything?

Any help, opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

  4. location first of all. (from the Neptune lounge and from mid ship).

My first thoughts are to ask why do you want to be away from the Neptune Lounge? It's not a rowdy bar, it's just a lounge with YOUR concierge, coffee machine, teas, juices, snacks, etc.

If you like aft cabins then SC''s are a good choice, location wise.

Generally speaking, I have found the SC's to have smaller space (and most SB's although some are laid out so you don't notice as much) in the cabin than the SA's.

The SC's/SB's may offer a bigger verandah in some cases but the inside space suffers so it depends upon what your priority is.

No matter which category you choose, I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Kazu and Tampa Girl. When looking at the price difference my thought is climbing a few stairs isn't worth the difference in price in the cabins. But it sounds like the SA cabins are a bit bigger, and that is worth the price for us!

  5. Hi all,

We are relatively new to cruisin. We went on 2 about 10 years ago and are returning:) We are looking at a Caribbean Cruise on the NA March 2018 and are planning to splurge on a Neptune Suite. It is my 50th b-day. When looking at the different rooms it looks like the SA cabins are all on the 7th deck (Rotterdam Deck). The SB and SC are on the 6th Deck (Upper Verandah). We are thinking of the 6th deck to be a little bit away from the Neptune Lounge. We don't mind stairs or walking. My question is what is the difference between an SC cabin and an SB cabin?

Thanks in advance for your help!

  6. My husband and I are big foodies. We are planning a trip on the NA in March 2018 to the Carribean. Wondering if it will include Test Kitchen. It looks like a lot of fun. HAL website says it will be rolled out on all ships by 2018.

Also would love to hear what it was like from those who participateed.

    Thanks in advance:)
