We booked nachi for our upcoming cruise! To say that we are excited would be the understatement of the year..... Gah, just to sit on the beach and relax. Can I go tomorrow??:D:rolleyes::cool:

Eeeee!!!! This has me so excited for my cruise! I know Allure is bigger than Oasis, but this is the first time I've ever done either. I think I've seriously read Every. Single. review of these two ships. I'm trying really hard not to wish the rest of the summer away... I don't think I'll be able to sleep the night before when we fly to FLL!!
Congratulations on graduating!! :)
-
What a great review!! I'm doing the Western route on my Oasis cruise!!! Your pictures are great! Thanks so much for sharing!!
:)

Andes would be nice. I know, I know.. Too expensive. Oh please!! Every time we go to Olive Garden.. My husband gives me his.
I don't think I'll miss them

One more vote for FOS... I'm somewhat over Carnival... But if RCCL could come up with their own version of warm chocolate melting cake, all would be right with the world.:D

This is a WONDERFUL review!!! Thanks so much for all of the great pics! We're doing the Western Caribbean route in September, and also have a cabana reserved for Labadee. Geesh, can I go tomorrow??? :D Looking forward to more!!:)

Great thread!! Can't wait to read more..
I'm sure I'll be watching you sail off into the sunset this afternoon from the web cam.
I am so desperately ready for our vacation, we need a break.:(
Thanks again for posting.:) Have a wonderful trip!
-
I'm interested in these as well.. So...
Bump!!
-
So, they assign the cabana to you once you get on the island, you go to the information booth, correct?
:)
So excited! We just booked an "over the water" cabana...
The last time we were in HMC, we almost booked a cabana, but held out for some reason,, but not this time!:D
-
What about cabin 11298? We have adjoining rooms on one side of us I believe. Either way, we'll make due. When we booked, I had no idea.
Thanks for the info!

So here's one to let you "ethically" think about...
On day 2, we were heading off the ship in port and I had to check my bag for something. I put my cup down, checked my bag...and forgot my cup!! I didn't realize it until we got back on the ship and didn't find my cup in the room. I went down to Guest Serivces and explained I lost my cup - without checking my sea pass card they gave me a brand new cup. I thought to myself, "wow, I must look really trust worthy!" But it just goes to show - the revenue they make on the package for the week obviously doesn't equate to what they pay for the product. They make out quite fine and for us, it's about convenience.
I like getting the soda package because, as said previously, you get two drinks a day and it pays for itself. Plus, you do have to sign and TIP each time you get a soda whether its from the Freestyle machine or a bar.
Pretty interesting. Thx for sharing

I always get the soda package and my husband doesn't. I am sure he has taken a sip on occasion if my cup is sitting out on the desk, but NEVER have we gotten a soda with the intentions of sharing it or for him to drink. I do believe you buy a package for ONE person and anyone buying a package for one with the intentions of sharing it with someone else is cheating/stealing.
If you split your TV cable and shared it with you neighbor you could go to jail. If you bought 1 airline ticket with the intentions of having your wife sit on your lap for free, do you think you could get away with that? How about if you ordered all you can eat sushi for one and let someone else eat from your plate....I doubt the owners of that restaurant would let you get away with it.
The cruise lines give you plenty of choices of beverages that are included in your cruise ticket....there is really no excuse for stealing from them.
Everyone has their own moral standards, but, assuming that Royal Caribbean "knows" this is happening and they are OK with it is a lot of rationalizing something you know is wrong but you are trying to feel better about.
Please.. If your husband has taken a sip, even once or twice a day the length of your cruise, then you my dear, have done the same exact thing: SHARED.
I'm not trying to feel better or rationalize anything. Does it say on RCCL's policies where sharing is not allowed for the soda package? You'll probably come back and say, Per Person. So, if one of us buys the package, and the other drinks out of the cup, like your husband has, then you have done the same thing. I don't have to explain myself to you, and you don't owe me an explanation either. It's my business, but I feel the same way about theft and stealing, sharing or "sipping" or whatever the heck YOU call it, is still not stealing. I'm honestly a little tired of this.
-
I like sensible. Again, I don't see anything wrong with sharing. Royal Caribbean is not stupid. They have to know that passengers share the coke package. If they really think that they are loosing moolah, they would have changed the rules by now, just like they did the alcohol package from what I'm hearing. Altho, alcohol is much different and more costly than soda.
I say to each their own. Live and Let Live.. Sharing a freakin coke cup is not the end of the world. ;)
-
Oh brother. Now "sharing" constitutes "cheap"
I've heard everything now:rolleyes::confused:
-
Seriously, just consider taking your drinks. You'll save a lot of money. I even took peach tea drink straws for my bottled water. RC doesn't care if you bring cokes and water on.
We might just do that. There are refrigerators in our room ,, but we r flying in that day. I guess we will see. I'll be praying for your grandchild!:)
-
You are absolutely correct - IF only YOU are using the cup. However, and I quote "Hubby and I will just share" would lead one to believe that you plan to purchase only ONE soda package and TWO people will use it. Duh.
This is precisely why all people over 21 in a cabin must purchase the alcohol package - cheats.[/
Thanks for your insight. We will have fun "sharing"
-
Can you reuse the cup on another cruise? We are thinking of buying one cup to share as we like our coke, but don't feel the need to purchase two. Hubby and I will just share.
-
Too Long... But, not as long as some have:( so I won't complain.:o
I'll just keep counting down and chugging along:)

BRW, I think we may have had Joseph on our Liberty cruise back in 2010... Your right, he was a hoot!! 😉
-
We did a b2b on the Fascination this past December. If you have any questions just ask and I will try to answer.
If Joseph is still the Maitre d try to get in the dining room that he was is working in. Best maitre d I have ever had. Quite the character.
We loved the bar located right outside the casino. They usually had a band playing there every night.
Serenity deck was great.
Thanks! This is the first "smaller" ship we've been on, what did you like most about the ship? Did u find the main pool to be too crowded? Lots of chair hogs?
And, how was the food?
:D
-
Can anyone else share more? If so, post away. If not, then I assume I've read it all!😳
-
See if you can spot your cabin :D
Thanks!! I sure did, it's the aft ocean view under "tion"😄. SOOOO flippin' excited!!!!!
