  1. Caribbean Paddling has a great excursion. They pick you up a the ship and take you out to the bay (very quiet and easy paddle) includes kayak or paddleboard. dry bags, optional picnic lunch.  Row over to Pinel Island grab a chair and umbrella. bar service and restaurant available. they meet you back at the beach at whatever time you agree upon.  Great service. we had a wonderful beach day trip!!

  2. Several years ago, we landed in Seattle and took the bus to Vancouver.

At that time, Amtrak had one train (first one of the day) around 6:30 am or so. The rest of the trips were by bus. I remember the bus left from the Amtrak station because we met my dad there who had come in on Amtrak from a different state. The bus took about 3-4 hours to get up to Vancouver. But we had young man who had recently visited Amsterdam on our bus and that held us up at the border for awhile.

  3. One of the things you could use as scavenger hunt are the small wonders. There are 20 on the ship. You can get a list of locations all over the ship. It still took us over two hours to find them all. Half look like little binoculars on a pedestal and the other half look like a metal cannon stood up on end. Each one has a 3d scene inside. Look it up online for the list. We enjoyed wasting part of a sea day.

  4. We were on the Allure in October. we didn't get to the Windjammer till the last sea day when it was less busy. Ate at the Solarium café and the Wipe Out café. Wipe out café actually had fresh made to order omelets and better OJ than the other venues. Loved Central Park for evening strolls. Live musicians most nights. Had no trouble getting into shows in the stand-by line. Best show is the Ocean-aria!
