  1. Just off Serenade (Aug. 12-17 2023) and can confirm the 5:00 pm main seating and 7:45 second seating seems to be here to stay. I tried MTD for this first time and did not pre-reserve in the cruise planner. What's the point of "My Time" if you have to plan everything in advance? As soon as I got on board, I checked the app and the only MTD times available to reserve, for the whole week, were 8:15pm and later. Useless. Luckily, I eat late (7:30 or later) and the No Reservations line generally only took a few minutes to get seated except on night 1 when it took about 15. Back to fixed dining next time.... but that 5pm early time. Ugh.
  2. Just off my first cruise on Serenade (Aug 12-17 2023) and loved it. Didn't notice any significant changes yet that would indicate it was being prepped for the World Cruise (they did repaint the lines on the promenade shuffleboard court if that counts). I can confirm there are no freestyle machines. I did see some bars pouring sodas from 2 liter bottles. I drink Coke Zero and at the Solarium and Pool bars they would just hand me a can of it (or pour it into the beverage cup with ice if I had it with me). Random aside... the drink package beverage cup I got on Serenade was smaller than what I got on Oasis and Anthem last year. Yikes... I was on Deck 3. Didn't know it was the COVID wing. 😮
  3. Yes, that is the reason for the name. It's the roll and beef plus your choice of au jus, horseradish, mustard, or a mustard ragu (?). I was on Oasis in June and tried it on two different days and the beef wasn't great. I enjoyed the Park Cafe soup more. But I have had them in the past and they were excellent. So your luck may vary depending on the beef. Doesn't hurt to try and there are other options at the Cafe if it's not a good day.
  4. Not sure about Liberty but on Oasis, Cafe Promenade is open 24 hours for some light snacks. So is room service but you pay for that. Sorrentos pizza is open until 2am. The Windjammer buffet is open from 6:30am to 9:00pm.
  5. The Styx tribute band was called "Rockin' the Paradise" (look for "thestyxtribute" on Facebook) and their two weeks ended June 24. I dropped in for 2 of their 5 shows that week and to be fair, it was probably less than 50% Styx. The rest was everything from Def Leppard, to Bon Jovi to Fountains of Wayne. Nothing wrong with that but I went in expecting a full Styx show 🤷‍♂️ This week it looks like Generation Idol if you are into Billy Idol. I'll also note that I didn't find the Oasis Music Hall (the former Dazzles dance club) to be a great venue for seeing live music but that's probably because my first RCCL "Music Hall" experience was on Anthem. That is an awesome (and much bigger) space.
  6. Nope, the life jacket and emergency signal video are it. Did you get a checkmark showing you completed watching the videos? I'm not sure if you'll get "credit" for watching them if you do it now. I watched mine on board while having lunch at the WJ then wandered down to my muster station to check in. They asked if I watched the videos but that was it... they didn't check to see if I completed them in the app.
  7. Was just on Oasis (June 17 sailing). With the amplified Oasis, the Deck 15 freestyle machine is now at El Loco Fresh. I found that machine to be out of certain flavors quite often. Had much better luck with the two on the Royal Promenade.
  8. On topic post! 😃 The Oasis sailing on 17-Jun-2022 had this souvenir cup: No sticker to fall off, worked great with the Freestyle Coke machines. It seems the switch happened the following week.
