If I really want something, I call Crown and Anchor. They are pretty good about helping us out. I do hate the website too, very user unfriendly. :rolleyes:

We got for the best bang for the buck! We like Royal better but have cruise quite a few on the newer Carnival ships because we got such a good deal. We also love the balcony cabins so we spend a little more anyway because of our balcony obsession. But , yes go for the best bang for your buck.

We have always avoided Spring Break months but have gone in the Summer because it was the only time we could . As soon as the kids grew up we have been avoiding it like the plague . Last couple of years have been October and January. This year we are going week after labor day. ;)

We have done both. Most recently we keep booking the hump if available. I guess we like them best. We cruise with friends and open the balconies so we can have our own get together area. But, I do remember our aft balcony very fondly. The view was AMAZING!

We've done it two different ways. We have had coffee juice and pastries and just had that. It is a nice slow way to start your day. My husband likes a more hearty breakfast so last time we went down to the dining room for breakfast and then had Mimosas on the balcony. That was also wonderful! I love my balcony!

I would pick Freedom! So far Freedom is my favorite ship of RCI. Been on both. Freedom twice already! We are going on the Allure in September though so we will see once that is done is Freedom remains my favorite! LOL:rolleyes:

We carried ours on, two six packs. They shook it around and looked at it but it was fine. Remember though the rooms don't open till around 1 so if you are getting on early you have to carry it with you wherever you go. :cool:

We're cruising this Saturday. Just received an email from CCL re. our upcoming cruise & on the form it said to arrive between 2 & 3:30 to avoid the rush. Yeah, right!

We leave on the dream this Saturday and got this one too! I thought the same thing. Yeah right! Lol

Absolutely! We get there early and either wear our suits under our clothes or bring them in the carry-on! WE go straight to the lido deck and start enjoying the fun! :)

We cruise both RCI and Carnival. Done 8 cruises on RCI and only 7 on Carnival. One thing I have noticed with RCI is that alot of times they wont let you combine discounts. So , I don't know if you have spoken to anyone at RCI, but you might not get your military discount and the use the Wow sale price. Just sayin. Other than that, I would say that both lines have their good and their bad days. Just like any other business. :rolleyes:

This is our first time booking the Cove Balcony. We will be on the Dream leaving 1/18/14. So looking forward to it! Anyway, does anyone know if there is a way to open up between the balconies like the regular balconies do?

Wow,.. we have been on so many cruises and I have never had THAT happen. It did happen in the middle of the night on our wedding night though. Management banging on our door. Dh gets up puts on pants and goes to the door to find another couple there with management saying that we were in the wrong room. Really??? At 2am? They gave us the key and assigned us the room at the desk. Anyway, made for excellent story telling over the last 30 years. Btw we got a coupon for 50% off our next stay at that hotel. LOL. Right never went back. :eek:

We leave on the 18th. I let you know if we get a similar email. Being that it says 2-530 though, makes me think it is real because usually they leave much earlier. Weird

So, I'm obsessed with footwear for my October Med cruise because I know we are going to be walking, walking, walking. AND I'm notorious for always bringing the wrong shoes (ie: All flip flops on a week long trip to San Francisco...ugh really? Did I even THINK about all those hills and hopping on/off cable cars?!). So I see Mimi is in what I think is those Sketchers Go Walks? Thinking about picking up a pair of those b/c they seem comfy and super light. Any idea if she liked them during the cruise?

Hate to butt in but about the Sketchers Go Walks.... I love them. They are super light and work great for doing lots of walking!

We did experience quite a vibration from the engine stabilizers when on the lower decks closer to the aft. I am very sensitive to this but it didn't bother my husband. Much worse for us was when we were near the bow and the anchor being lowered early in the morning ( especially after a late night of partying lol). I prefer inside midship usually deck 5 or 6. Great for the seasick like myself. But lately we have been balcony cruisers and we love that too!

My swimsuit!!! We had 2 sea days till we reached St. Thomas and I could buy one. Ugh! It was torture!!
