5:30pm Coastal Kitchen opens. You'd have plenty of time to make your show, and that outfit choice will be fine. :)

Yay yay yay!! Thanks so much!
Oh, one more question: Once onboard, do I go to CK to make the reservation in person, or is there a phone number I call? Thanks again!

Hi,
Since I will have a Junior Suite for my upcoming cruise on the Allure, I am looking forward to having dinner (at least once!) at Coastal Kitchen. I would really like to try for our first night onboard, but I have questions:
What is the earliest seating time for dinner?
I have an 8 pm show (Mamma Mia!) reserved for night 1. Can I eat at Coastal Kitchen when they first open and still make it to the theater in time to get a good seat for that show?
Will nice jeans & neat shirt be allowed on the first night (due to possibly not having our luggage yet)?
Thanks for any info!

Great news, thanks. I know, I know, I'm dreaming, but it doesn't hurt to wish!

So I have a lovely mid-hump ocean-view Junior Suite reserved for my next cruise on the Allure of the Seas. I was wondering if I should mark my Upgrade Preferences as "I do NOT want an upgrade" on the RCI website. I know that free upgrades are *extremely* rare anyway, but of course I would not object to an upgrade to a full suite! Is there any chance that an "upgrade" could consist of a move to another (less well-located) Junior Suite??

I was interested to hear that Labadee felt crowded. Was there more than 1 ship there? Or was it just because Allure itself carries so many passengers?

Thank you. Sorry to hear most people are not impressed with the offerings.

I must admit that I LOVE sweets. So naturally, when I am daydreaming about my future cruise, my thoughts turn to desserts!
Please tell me your favorite must-have dessert on RCI!

Just scanned day 6, which is Cozumel. I also renamed the files to help a little bit. Each file name contains the port of visit or "at sea".
Hope this helps. I spent a lot of time trying to find these before our cruise, so I know they can be useful. If nothing else it's a little "blankey" to help plan lol

These have been very helpful. Thanks for the scans!

Not free, but included in the cost of your stateroom.:)
Good point! [emoji3]

You do on Oasis and Quantum class, but not other classes.
Guessing "specialty" in this case might mean Evian.
Very cool, thanks! I will be cruising on Allure, so that will be excellent. I don't really care about the "specialty" of the water (LOL), it's just nice to know that it will be provided. Free of charge, right?

Specialty Bottled Water??? Could someone expand on what this means? Do I get free bottled water in a Junior Suite? Just wondering...

Personally, we find dinner in the MDR a bit drawn out, which is why we tend to eat in the MDR about half the evenings on board. It IS faster if you're at a two-top.
Well I was thinking that the MDR (at a 2-top) would be speedier than the Specialty Restaurants, no?
And I'm not trying to *zoom* through dinner; I was just hoping that on a regular night, we could be in-and-out in under two hours!

How much time should I budget for dinner in the Main Dining Room? I have My Time Dining and am trying to schedule my dinners around the shows I have already booked. If I try to reserve dinner 2 hours before my shows start, the Cruise Planner says I have a scheduling conflict.
Will I really be spending 2 full hours for dinner in the MDR (at a Table for 2)?????

" ***********PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT************
You should not swim with dolphins, sea lions, or any other animal in captivity because my daughter says it's wrong."
Excellent daughter! If you ever get tired of her, I would like to volunteer to adopt her! (LOL)

I am loving your review and your excellent sense of humor!

A head of cauliflower is cut into thick slabs then roasted until caramelized and served with chimichurri, a garlic-herb sauce. The cauliflower steaks make a fine accompaniment to actual steaks, or better still, serve them on their own as a vegetarian alternative to steak.
Very interesting! Thanks for the explanation. [emoji3]

The Cauliflower Steak was DELICIOUS. :)
Hi! I hope I'm not finding this thread too late to ask this question, but: what exactly is Cauliflower Steak? Thanks!

Regarding Diamond Status: the 3 free drinks that are loaded on your seapass for use during cocktail hours... can you get any kind of drink you like... for example, Bellini, Mojito, etc? (yn)
-
If you see a discount on internet in your Cruise Planner, that discount is usually a better deal that what you will find onboard with your Diamond discount.
Thanks so much for this tidbit! I had been wondering about that. Like the OP, it's been awhile since I've sailed Royal Caribbean and I have forgotten a lot of the ins and outs.

Thanks again for all the good info! I appreciate it. [emoji3]

Thanks so much for the recommendations, 4cats4me! The Riverside looks very nice and I may just make a reservation there. Do you happen to know how much-ish a taxi might cost from the airport? And a taxi from the hotel to Port Everglades? Just trying to get an idea of total costs. Thank you! [emoji3]
