  1. For those that have taken small children on this excursion is there life vest/ floating devices for the children to use in the water?

How deep is the water when snorkeling?

And do they have those glass viewers instead of snorkels for those who rather not use the snorkels (kids)?

    Thanks!

  2. First time on RCL and have attempted to email a request for a MDR table to fit my party of 10 for our Allure cruise in July.

My email was sent to reservations@rccl off of the RCL FAQ section. This was the reply I received:

"Thank you for your email. We apologize for the delay in our response.

Upon reviewing your reservation, we see you are cross referenced for dining at 6:00pm with the following reservations:

Due to this, you will all be seated together in the dining room at one large table or two smaller tables next to each other. We will add a notation to the bookings that you would prefer a table for 10 next to a window; however, this is just a request. Regrettably, we are unable to confirm seating assignments in the Main Dining Room prior to the cruise. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause".

Is there a ship specific email for the Allure to try? Do we just plan on "begging" at embarkation at the Food and Beverage table? Or are the chances extremely slim that we get a table for 10 and we need to "start choosing straws" on who has to sit with whom? LOL ;)

  3. received this email today from RCL and wanted to share:

To support World Wildlife Fund's water

    conservation initiatives, robes for

Platinum guests and above will now

    be available upon request.

May be old news for most but I just saw this today. I am sure if you are booked into a suite cabin the bathrobes are included as a suite guest perk. But for standard cabins this may be new and something to keep in mind when packing.

We will be first time RCL cruisers for our Allure cruise July 2016 (very excited!). We have an Ocean View Balcony reserved and I do like to lounge around in my bathrobe so I will be packing my own for sure.

  4. There are definitely cases where it was included. Unfortunately, RCI are completely incompetent at communicating with their staff, so there is inconsistency with everything that is going on. Ask one question and you'll get a different answer from everyone you speak to. I don't even know how they manage to operate. I honestly can't imagine if there was an actual emergency on one of their ships. Luckily the ships are spectacular.

Five+ drinks a day seems just fine to me while on vacation =).

    Hi all just chiming in,

It's been a really long time since we cruised, but back getting back into it and very excited. I was on the RCI FAQ site today. This is what the verbiage straight from their web site says r/t drink pkgs and where you may use them:

"The beverage packages are honored at any of our bars or lounges, Windjammer Café, Main Dining Room, and our private destinations during normal business hours. Room service and minibar are not included."

I take this to mean you are not allowed to use the pkg at any of the Specialty venues?

  5. We will be in Cozumel 1/23 off of the Fascination, I have Isla Passion excursion booked(we were there last year and enjoyed it). But after reading the thread about Playa Uvas this sounds great also. Has anyone been to both and can comment on how they compare? Thanks!
