  1. Also, I do not know why people hate being on hold so much! Its not like the rep is just trying to piss you off...if you're on hold its likely because they're dealing with hundreds of other customers at the same time! What I do when I'm on hold more than a few minutes is set my phone on speaker then just resume whatever else i need to do, then when someone answers go grab the phone to start speaking. I think are just too impatient these days!

  2. I get inputting all my info, but what is confusing is the onboard credit card info. It only asks for the type of card (visa, mastercard, amex, etc.), the last four of the card number, and the expiration date. That seems very weird that it would only need the last four digits of the card....anyone know how that works? Will it still charge my card at the end of the cruise?

Any input would be great; I don't want there to be any errors and it mess anything up!

  3. We paid nothing extra...so it was most definitely NOT a rip off! Last year we werr watching the prices and it was $1,099/pp for our cabin...then a few weels later when Celebrity started offering the 123GO promo our cabin was still $1,099/pp...we obviously jumped on it immediately and got the alcohol package FOR NO ADDITIONAL COST! Your broad generalization is not true for eveyone...

  4. My wife has come down an enlarged spleen and the doctor told her no travel and bed rest. Was all set for the equinox 10 day on 1/31. I guess I will have to make up for it with a 14 day when she is better.

    Sorry to hear that

I know your pain though...I had a perforated appendix in late October (stayed in ER for two weeks!) that disallowed us to cruise in the beginning of December. We just got back from the rescheduled version and had a blast...tell her to get better first so she can actually enjoy that nice long vacation. You both will deserve it after her being sick!

  5. I hope you all enjoy reading these. I originally tried to post them in the optimum resolution for PDF files (300 dpi), but the files were too large to post out here. I reduced the next couple to 200 dpi, but then increased to 240 dpi. The last 2-page one is at 300 dpi. Sorry if some of them are not clear enough.

Im sure I speak for everyone in saying THANK YOU for taking the time to scan these!

  6. I will try to do the rest this evening. It is hard to sit down and do anything for 15 minutes at home with two toddlers vying for your attention! Not to mention, we are trying to catch up on our TV shows after more than a week away from home.

Haha that's so true! But isnt it awesome to have so much to watch on TV now :) that makes coming home and vacation being over a little more bearable (at least for a week or so until you're caught up! ;))

  7. Fort Lauderdale, 1-12-14 (Day 1)

I had to reduce the resolution to get the PDF file down to a size that I could upload here. What is the best type of image to scan to on here and how do I get the image to post in the message?

The way you did this attachment worked for me! The only other way i can think of would be scanning everything into dropbox and posting a link (as you can tell, i am not overly tech savy :p)

  8. Which would you choose?

We are a couple in our late 20's.

I have read SO MANY good things about Connie, but hers is a shorter cruise (5 day leaving on 12/31)

Silly & Reflection are both 7 days (over NYE)

We like the ports of call for all 3 and the price is about the same....so the major factor for us is the Ship itself.

I should mention we will be doing AQUA CLASS.

I would not mind a shorter cruise on Connie, if she is well worth it. However, if I can get more bang for my buck, then it's worth it to book Silly or Reflection.

Room suggestions for AQ on any of these? We love the aft!

    Thoughts?

I vote for Silhouette. I would want 7 vs 5 days and Reflection has more AQ cabins meaning more packed Blu, etc.

  9. I'm not sure I understand the difference between withdrawing cash on your seapass and charging to get cash. In any event, there is a 5% fee. If you bring large bills that don't take up much space, they will break them down into smaller denominations for free.

    Sorry, I don't mean to confuse :)

What I am trying to say is can I stick my seapass into a slot machine and just play? Then whatever amount I use would just go onto my onboard account. Is there a service fee for that?

  10. Jack,

What was the procedure you used to upgrade? My Booking Confirmation shows the package and also has an item for the prem pkg.

    SLC4-SAVINGS $968

    SLC5-WAVE BEV PKG -$968

    WAV7-PREM BEV $ 0

I've gone on line with my reservation but the pkg does not show there.

    Mary Lou

Our reservation says WAV7-PREM BEV...but what do SLC4-SAVINGS and SLC5-WAVE BEV PKG stand for? Mine does not say that.

  11. The 123 promotion isn't all people think it is. I booked the TA, on the Silouette for this spring. The price with 123 Go was $1499 pp. The price, for the same category cabin, without it was $809 and I was able to use my fcc for a $300 obc. This wasn't booked on a ship though. For us, the free drink package is a waste. We drink beer. If we only drink beer, we would have to have eight beers a day to break even. Being Elite members, we get a two hour happy hour every day. Sea days maybe, but port days, since we usually do tours, it would be impossible. Think about what this package cost "X" for us. On sale, I can get Bud for about $.65 each, including tax. 8 x $.65 = $5.20. On ship that same beer cost over $5 with tip. If you check some of the other threads, other people have figured this out. It might be more convenient, but it comes at a steep price.

I watched the price and it did not change with the 123 promotion...so for us, we saved $700 because we would have booked the alcohol package anyways
