Thanks for the nice comment. We are on our way back now. I posted Grand Cayman earlier today and will finish either today or tomorrow (I hope).

What did u do in Key West?
The weather was iffy. We did not take any tours, having been in Key West a number of times. For more details about our day see the Key West post in my blog at www.travelswithcappy.com.

I have a question.
Can you tell me which nights are the “Chic Nights” and is there a special menu on those nights?
The chic nights for us were the 3rd night and Grand Cayman night. On both evenings there were special menus. Rack of lamb the first night and on the second Lobster and beef Wellington on the second night.

My wife and I are on the Equinox and traveling in the Western Caribbean. I am blogging as we go, discussing the itinerary and the ship. Follow us if interested at www.travelswithcappy.com. We started in Miami on January 24th, boarded the Equinox on the 26th and stopped at Key West on the 27th. Today we are in Costa Maya and I just posted about this stop. I hope to post about the ship today or tomorrow and will hit every port along the way. Let me know what you think.

For those of you who have been following our Rhine River journey, I have posted my last entry. I hope you have enjoyed reading my blog as much as I enjoyed writing it. While I do this for my friends, family and me, I also do it for those of you who are interested in travel and find the experiences of others interesting. Let me know what you think; constructive criticism is always welcome. You can find my blog at travelswithcappy.com. Our next trip is in January to the Caribbean and April 2019 will find us in Japan. Happy Holidays!

Well, after quite a bit of time, I finished Strasbourg. It’s out of order but better late than never. You can find it a travelswithcappy.com. I hope you like it. Just one more post to go. It should be up tomorrow at the latest.

Work has interfered with the completion of my blog but I am back to it. I just posted Basel, Switzerland. I am now working on Lucerne and hope to post it within the next day or two. Let me know what you think of Basel.

Hi Everyone, I posted Colmar yesterday only to find out that there was a "glitch" and apparently my post disappeared. Sorry! I repaired the problem and it should be working now. Let me know what you think.
I am now working on Basel and Lucerne and hope to have them up soon.

Continuing, I just posted Colmar and Breisach, November 10, 2018. You can find it at www.travelswithcappy.com. I hope you find it interesting. Let me know.

More than enough outlets. Power up.

I just posted "Viking River Boats, Hlin and Kara, and swapping on the Rhine." Take a look for photos of the two boats and for my description of our boat swap. Swapping is far preferable to the alternative and the swap was accomplished with a minimum of disruption. The blog is located at www.travelswithcappy.com.

Thanks Geezer. I hope your family enjoys Amsterdam as much as we did. It's a great city and certain to take their minds off their recent loss.
Also, thanks to Sawtooth for your reply.
I will be posting more or less daily as I finish and edit my photos and words. I just posted Cologne. Next up is Marksburg's Castle.

My wife, two friends and I just returned from our November 4, 2018 Viking Rhine River Cruise. The trip was very nice; even swapping boats was not a problem. We traveled from Amsterdam to Basel and every stop was great. For those of you who are interested, I am posting on my blog a day-by-day journal. You can find it at http://www.travelswithcappy.com. Let me know what you think.

My wife and I are sailing southbound on the Noordam departing Anchorage August 5th. I will be posting photos and commentary on my blog at www.travelswithcappy.com. Please join us on our trip. Of course, the timing of my posts will depend on the quality of internet service and the state of my energy. It could be that I will post some days after we return. Rest assured, however, I will be covering each and every day.

Sounds like you are having a great trip. We will be on same trip Feb 18. We love the southern Caribbean so much we generally go on the 14 night trip each year. Our itinerary takes us into St Maarten again as they seem ready to accept tourism. Be interesting to see how the reconstruction is going. All reports say that Orient beach is gone except for sand and rocks. Too bad as we had a great beach bar, KaKao, we loved to visit each year. How was you overnight in Curacao. Do anything special at night?
Dave:cool:
Evening Redglass.
Enjoy your cruise. The islands we visited all appeared to be in good shape although a conversation with a shop keeper in St. Thomas stated there is a lot of reconstruction work yet to be accomplished. On our evening in Curacao we strolled over to the Renaissance Hotel to enjoy the view and take a couple of evening photos. We enjoyed Curacao and thought if was a good port for an overnight. I believe some passengers went to some of the local nightclubs but that is just based on scuttlebutt.

Many thanks for your post and pictures. Enjoyed it.
We’re going soon on the Eclipse.
If you could post current daily activities schedules it’ll be great info. Have you tried the aqua spa cafe in the solarium? Any other information on theme parties or events would be appreciated.
Thanks 🙏 again and safe travels.
Namaste.
Sorry it took me so long to respond to you cementhands. I cannot post activity schedules as that does not work with my blog format. I am not doing a “live from” comentary although I am trying my best to post as regularly as possible. That said, there are a lot of activities on the ship. This cruise director, Eddie, is really good and keeps things hopping. We have not been to the Aqua Spa cafe and cannot comment on it. I am sure you will enjoy your time on board.

Enjoying your photo blog.
Do you know the name of the outdoor bacony restaurant shown in St Thomas downtown photos, next to the staircase photo...Looks like a nice place for lunch
hcat, I thought I already replied to your message. I am not certain which restaurant is shown in my photo. What I can say is that it is located in the A.H. Rinse mall. Also, it is not really a balcony; it is about 6 feet above the walkway. I hope this helps.
