  1. Hi all.

I've booked two connecting oceanview balcony rooms on an upcoming Allure cruise. 7574/7576 - I'd love to see actual photos of these rooms/balconies/views (lifeboats, etc). Any pros/cons anyone knows of with staying in this location? This is our 1st Royal cruise and want to be sure we're in a great spot.

We'll be traveling with our three children (9, 8, 3) and my in-laws (staying forward on deck 7)

  2. I noticed tonight that the Western legs starting Oct. 2016 now say:

    Ft. Lauderdale

    Cozumel, Mexico

    Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico

    Nassau, Bahamas

I booked the other day on the Western leg and the confirmation still says:

    Ft. Lauderdale

    Cozumel

    Labadee

    Falmouth

Is this a mistake on the website or do you think they've really changed the ports?

  3. What are your opinions? We have 3 children (3, 8, 9) and are currently booked on the Eastern leg for Allure, which my husband & I have done a few times on different ships. Would you switch to Western for $300 less for the entire cruise? What ports are best for kids? Eastern we know exactly what we'd do in each port (Nassau - nothing, St. Maarten - Maho Beach, St. Thomas - private boat charter). Western ports are Labadee, Falmouth, Cancun. Thanks in advance for your helpful insight!

  4. we will be in the same cabin in just over a month and i can't wait. did you have to ask for the loungers or are they already there? would love to hear more about your trip, must see and do things.

Ooh you'll love Sopie, the steward. He was so attentive. When we arrived there was one lounger, two chairs and a table. I asked for a 2nd, the fridge to be emptied and for one robe. When we got back 20m later that was all done plus an extra robe. He's great!!

For "must do" I'd go to Teppanyaki and asked for Salvatore. Le Bistro is great, as is Cagney's. Food is hard for me to vote on since I don't eat red meat at all and I know a lot of people rave about the steaks aboard. I loved the fresh pasta stations in the buffet at lunch and the omelets in the a.m. I found they had a lot of extra add in's if asked nicely. :)

The martini, margarita & beer tastings are a deal and a half @ $15 for 5. Raechelle in Maltings is fabulous. Cirque and the Ice Bar are things you should see once. BMG, Legends, the comedian and Howl were all done by us and enjoyed throughly.

If you're looking for port ideas we HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Rumbaba Charters in St. Thomas. By far the best excursion we've ever done. The food/drinks alone are worth the $125pp.

    Enjoy your trip!!
