Hi all.
I've booked two connecting oceanview balcony rooms on an upcoming Allure cruise. 7574/7576 - I'd love to see actual photos of these rooms/balconies/views (lifeboats, etc). Any pros/cons anyone knows of with staying in this location? This is our 1st Royal cruise and want to be sure we're in a great spot.
We'll be traveling with our three children (9, 8, 3) and my in-laws (staying forward on deck 7)

I just called and asked. She looked in a few places and said it appears its a website error. They have nothing noting a change in ports for those sailings. I'm hoping. :)
-
Mine still shows the same. However, new bookings show a different story. I'm really hoping its a mistake in their online new bookings - I JUST switched from Eastern to Western b/c of the stops it had on it. Boo.
-
I noticed tonight that the Western legs starting Oct. 2016 now say:
Ft. Lauderdale
Cozumel, Mexico
Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico
Nassau, Bahamas
I booked the other day on the Western leg and the confirmation still says:
Ft. Lauderdale
Cozumel
Labadee
Falmouth
Is this a mistake on the website or do you think they've really changed the ports?

Thanks for all your input. I think that they'd love either leg, as well. I was really unsure about safety of those ports but it sounds like some of you have had, or will be having, a lovely time on those legs w/o incident.

What are your opinions? We have 3 children (3, 8, 9) and are currently booked on the Eastern leg for Allure, which my husband & I have done a few times on different ships. Would you switch to Western for $300 less for the entire cruise? What ports are best for kids? Eastern we know exactly what we'd do in each port (Nassau - nothing, St. Maarten - Maho Beach, St. Thomas - private boat charter). Western ports are Labadee, Falmouth, Cancun. Thanks in advance for your helpful insight!

We LOVE using Rumbaba Charters in St. Thomas.

Any update on how these rooms were? I just booked the same two.

We went in February of this year. We found the best deal in June. I think we paid about $300pp/rt. I watched the prices religiously and eventually they went down. I never saw them that low again. Don't cancel yet - you've got plenty of time to watch pricing.

we will be in the same cabin in just over a month and i can't wait. did you have to ask for the loungers or are they already there? would love to hear more about your trip, must see and do things.

Ooh you'll love Sopie, the steward. He was so attentive. When we arrived there was one lounger, two chairs and a table. I asked for a 2nd, the fridge to be emptied and for one robe. When we got back 20m later that was all done plus an extra robe. He's great!!
For "must do" I'd go to Teppanyaki and asked for Salvatore. Le Bistro is great, as is Cagney's. Food is hard for me to vote on since I don't eat red meat at all and I know a lot of people rave about the steaks aboard. I loved the fresh pasta stations in the buffet at lunch and the omelets in the a.m. I found they had a lot of extra add in's if asked nicely. :)
The martini, margarita & beer tastings are a deal and a half @ $15 for 5. Raechelle in Maltings is fabulous. Cirque and the Ice Bar are things you should see once. BMG, Legends, the comedian and Howl were all done by us and enjoyed throughly.
If you're looking for port ideas we HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Rumbaba Charters in St. Thomas. By far the best excursion we've ever done. The food/drinks alone are worth the $125pp.
Enjoy your trip!!

We just got back from having 10253. LOVED the room! Both times we have sailed the Epic we've had the bed nearer the balcony - which we prefer. But the huge balcony was fabulous. We had room for two loungers, two chairs and the small table. We'd book a B6 (over a B1) again.

We were in B1 13278. Loved it. Although the noise and vibration were a bit much first thing in the a.m. it did make for gorgeous views as we were docking and an easy wake up call. :)

Anyone have feedback on 10253? Its a B6 near the aft area across from the med center.

My DH and I sailed with Fury Charters and had no problems at all. I believe they did play music. In fact, I'm sure of it. We had an absolute ball with them and would go again in a second!

My DH and I were in 13278 the end of September and LOVED it. We'll never sail again in anything but an AFT cabin.

Great review and photos Mike! I'd love to see more pics! All 1500 would be fine by me. ;)

My boys will be 8 & 9 years old when we sail. I know they'll want to stay together. Will they let the 8yo move up or the 9yo move down? TIA!
