  1. Hi Oceana is was our first ship and still my favourite .Like some of the post say just wear what you are comfortable in and you will be fine .I believe it has been recently refurbish so will be looking good. The atrium is amazing .We are on the Brittannia in April not a ship I would choose but price too good to miss for 14 days and destinations good .We also have 4 formal nights on a two week cruise!! Just enjoy !!!

  2. Does anyone know if they do a photo package and how much it is? We're joining the Dream on 22ND September and would be interested to know the price and if they're any good.

    Thanks in advance. X

    🎶 🎶 I'm so excited..... and I just can't hide it... 🎶 🎶

We are on the dream next week 27th April flying to malaga ending at corfu so will let you know .Been on the other Thomson ships and they all had them. Did you enjoy your caribbean cruise on Brittania in november ??

  3. We have often arrived in Barbados to rain and also left in rain! Not always but often enough to be able to say - it's raining again - as we arrive. The showers don't last for long and of course it's very warm rain! The only thing I would say is that if you have soft sided cases then do take the precaution of lining your cases with polythene - the sort of things that dry cleaning comes back in - slit the bags open and spread out one in the bottom of your case and then another goes over the top once you've packed - tucked down the sides. The reason I say this is that on our first trip to Barbados I didn't do this and on our return journey to the airport it was pouring. As some point our cases must have been left on the tarmac in the open. When I got home and unpacked I found my husband's cream jumper had turned a delicate shade of pink! I'd put a red linen jacket of mine on top of his jumper and everything around was slightly damp! So since then I've always put polythene in a case if it's soft sided. Just a precaution!

The other places we've seen rain are St. Lucia and Dominica. In both places the rain didn't last long and we've never had a cruise in the Caribbean where we felt it had been spoilt by the rain. Enjoy your trip.

what wet weather gear do you take for the rain then?????cagouls??ponchos???padded jackets???please advise!!!:eek::eek::eek:

  4. Thanks for your input, Pensioncruiser & Muffinman1, we were wanting to dress up as we think it would be good to do but don't want to end up looking like a dogs dinner when everyone else is in casuals and also don't want to use our luggage allowance for things we are not going to use. May try and find others on here that are doing the same cruise as us and see what they are doing. Thanks again.

if you go on the rollcall that has your ship and you will be able to speak to people on your cruise:D:D:D:D

  5. booked this restaurant on britannia while in the carribean can anyone inform me how the menu works if there are two of you have you to both have the same menu ??? or is the first week menu one and the second week two ????:D:D:D

  6. Interested in this too, so if hubby wanted to take some scitch to drink in cabin (we're on b2b cruises over 21 nights), he could take some Johnny Walker or Bundy on board. Is there a bottle size limit?

And if we were to buy a 2nd bottle at the start if the 2nd cruise that would be confiscated wouldn't it, as no different to just buying a bottle in one if the ports of the cruise?

Think it is good that they let you take a bottle on board to begin with.

you can order bottles of spirts from room service and they are delivered to your cabin to drink:):):):)

  7. We plan on doing a 7nt Fjord cruise and we are undecided on the time of year. Could I ask the cruisers on here your experiences and opinions on doing this cruise in Spring and Autumn?

Pros and Cons would be much appreciated.:)

we have done the fjords in august and you still need a fleece and a water proof but it was also sunny it was excellent i would go again:):):)

  8. Hi, I did this trip a few years ago from Oriana. We were taken to a small heliport not far from the ship. Four passengers are allowed on board the helicopter, three in the rear and one in the front. The flight is for about 30 mins I think and it takes you over the airport which is completely covered in lava, you can see houses where the lava poured in and it is weird how things were abandoned. I thoroughly enjoyed it and 'm sure you will too. :) BTW we were only away from the ship for about 21/2 hours in total.

hi thanks for that where you alloted a certain time to go then others where given times like in rotas

  9. Working in school myself we have always gone on the school holiday sailing and never had a problem as long as you dont sit round the main pool where all the families tend to sit .there are plenty of decks and sunbeds away fro the families .to be honest i find the ages are well varied and hardly see any children about the hip id say book it:):):):)

  10. Has anyone done this trip ? if so how does it work ?Are you taken to an airport for the day and have to watch everyones flight ?Do you know how many are on the flight at the same time. My husband is not bothered about the trip but i would like to go but if you have to spend all day at an airport it puts me of.Plus dont want to pay £190 each if he is not bothered about it .:):):):)
