  1. 13 cruises, 4 different lines, it's the most beautiful ship I've ever been on, including the new Reflection. I'd choose her over any RC ship in the fleet. We also loved Aqua class, but that's yet another decision you'll have to make. Much prefer the smaller dining room for breakfast and dinner, then more attentive service, and the - in my opinion - better food.

  2. This is exactly what my roll call sounds like ... weather, trivia, how are you, etc. I'd really like to know things about the ports we'll be visiting, possible excursions. The roll call is almost ALL chatter, too much to drill down thru. I had a great roll call for our Eastern Med trip, hooked up with some great people for excursions. We "got to know them" more from emails than the roll call. Doubt I'll be checking it until closer to our April cruise, by then maybe there will be something of value.

  3. Our cruise is still seven months away and when I go to the roll call it's a few folks talking about anything but the cruise. Pages of it. Why don't the exchange emails and chat that way? I'm so tempted to add an admonishment, but I'm such a coward, even anonymously. Our last cruise it was all about the cruise, questions, answers, folks getting together for private tours. This roll call seems to be entirely different. Get a life, folks!

  4. Love Blu, always go aqua (unless it's a lot more). the other perks are okay, but Blu tips the scales for us. We're on the Summit next April, maybe $200 more, worth it for us. Hard to stand the noise in the MDR after being in BLu. Tried it 2 nights on 2 different cruises & went running back.

  5. We cruised for the 1st time on Princess . . . the Sun Princess . . . this November & the last full day (sea day) were offered the Balcony Breakfast for $25 per stateroom. It is fantastic - a split of Moet Chandon champagne in a silver bucket, on a silver tray; fresh strawberries served in a 1/2 cantalope with a side of whipped cream, a plate for EACH of us of crab quiche, shelled hot crab legs; a plate each of smoked salmon with appropriate garnishes; a plate of miniature danishes & donuts. We shared with our friends & still couldn't finish it all. Eaten on a balcony on the deep blue sea . . . just a wonderful memory!
