  1. That's also what I was thinking, but you never really know when it comes to holiday sailings. I think the # of kids will still be pretty high. I was surprised that the 400+ kids I was referring to on my original post was for a 15-night Hawaii cruise with Princess. I would expect a high # like that maybe on a 7-night caribbean or something but this many kids on a cruise with so many seas days was kind of surprising to me.
  2. Oh I totally agree! From what I'm reading about Camp at Sea it looks like they have really good kids programming! Thanks for the insight! Sounds like I probably won't have anything to worry about.
  3. Hi all! My family is booked on the Celebrity Silhouette for Christmas & New Years 2023. We have 2 kids who will be 4 & 6 during the cruise. We just took a cruise in early January, and we were told that the holiday sailing (the one right before ours) had 400 kids onboard! This got me thinking, since the Kids Club rooms aren't overly massive, what happens when there are a lot of kids onboard? Is access to the kids club facilities limited in order to accommodate everyone? Is there a reservation system in place? This will be my first holiday cruise, so I am hoping someone on this board has some experience to share with me! The Kids Club experience is a big deal for our family and I'd hate to spend so much $ on my cruise just to find out that we can only access the kids club on certain days, certain times, etc. On my last cruise (it was with Princess) my kids were asking to go to kids club during all 3 sessions!! They just couldn't get enough of it. Thanks so much!
  4. I am sailing on the Crown Princess next week, and starting to pack my suitcase! I am wondering if the Love Boat Piazza Party is currently on the Crown Princess? If so, I might need to go shopping for something white and gold! Thanks!
  5. I'll be on the Crown right after you on the 10-day Sea of Cortez sailing! This will be my first suite experience ever too 🙂. Enjoy!
  6. I just pulled up my Medallion app to book a table, and it's trying to charge me the full price. I just did the online chat with Princess, and the complimentary suite SD reservations can only be made once onboard.
  7. I'll be taking my first cruise as a suite guest in January 2023 (Crown Princess), and I see that I'll get to enjoy specialty dining on the first night. My question is: would you choose Crown Grill or Sabatini's? It's been 11 years since I've cruised with Princess so I can't remember what these restaurants are like. I know Crown Grill's upcharge is a few $ more than Sabatini's, but based on food/service/overall experience, which restaurant is your choice? Appreciate all the feedback! TIA :)
  8. Hi everyone! Hubby and I will be traveling on Crown Princess in Jan 2023 with our 2 little kids, ages 3 and 5. I see on Port Days, kid's club is open all day long vs on Sea Days there are smaller sessions throughout the day. Does this mean on a port day we can drop off and pick up whenever during these hours? I was looking at taking a short food tour in Puerto Vallarta, but my kids would not be into it at all. Just trying to figure out my options before I go ahead an book the excursion. Thank you!
  9. So you just cross the street from your hotel, and the free shuttle is right there. You'll load your bags in the bottom part of the bus, and then you'll get dropped off at the terminal doors, and the luggage porters are right there.
  10. So beautifully decorated and zero work on our part!!! I love it.
  11. Have you cruised out of this port before? From this hotel, it might be a 5-min MAX walk to the free shuttle. If there are no mobility issues, I wouldn't worry about it too much but it is VERY close!
  12. My guess would be that they're a little sad to be away from their family over the holidays. That would be very tough, especially having to see all the families celebrating together onboard. I've cruised quite a bit with my kids, and the staff always go way out of their way to interact and have fun with them. From my experience, it seems like the kids bring many of the crew members a little extra joy.
  13. Thank you! It wouldn't even just be a 16-nighter, but 2x 8-night sailings so there will be a turnaround day which isn't like a normal day for in-transit. I much prefer 1 cruise, longer than 1 week. Oh I have no concerns with my kids... lol they LOVE cruising! We just got off Odyssey of the Seas on Sunday. It was my 4yo's 3rd cruise and my 2yo's 2nd cruise. They love it!
  14. Good morning! My family is looking to book the Silhouette for an 11-night Caribbean cruise over Christmas and New Years next year (2023). We will be cruising with our 2 kids who will be 4 and 6 at that time. Just wondering if anyone can share their experiences of what was unique for their holiday cruises. I imagine there will be more kids on board, so the kids club should be extra fun for my girls. We are currently booked for Carnival Magic over Christmas 2023, and we were going to add on the next cruise to do New Years as well.... but then I found this Celebrity sailing (and you can't compare Celebrity and Carnival! Although I'm sure Carnival would be great, it is definitely in a different cruising category than Celebrity) I really like how the Celebrity cruise is just 1 sailing (not b2b) and covers both holidays. Plus the 2x 8-night cruises on Carnival might be a bit much. I think 11 nights is perfect 🙂 Any insight will be much appreciated!!
  15. Sorry I couldn't reply, I was actually on my cruise! lol. Did you end up booking?
