When you go on snorkeling excursions, can you take a towel from the boat or do you need to bring your own beach towel?
We always bring the towels from the ship. Usually there is a wet towel trade-in station when reboarding the ship.

They also have butter pecan and rocky road - usually on alternating days. You'll find about 8 flavors at the buffet dessert area. There are usually a few sugar free options as well.
The soft serve machines are chocolate, vanilla, twist.
-
Lemonade was available for free in the buffet last week on the Escape.

$39 per game that seems like a lot, so once somebody gets a bingo its over and you have to pay another $39 to get3 more card?
$39 allows you to play 3 total games with 3 cards for each game.
-
Packages are $39-$69 depending on how many cards you want for each game I think it's 3 cards for $39 and 9 cards for $69. You receive a sheet with color coded BINGO boards for each game. They usually play 3 games.

I really liked sailing from Barcelona, I thought everything (including taxis) was easy and well organized.
I agree! We were off the ship and in a taxi headed to the airport within minutes.
-
They had it on the Epic.
-
The forward gangway will take you directly into the Barcelona terminal. We got off around 9:30 am last Sunday and walk straight off and straight out of the terminal without stopping.
While it was efficient, the taxi queue was 15-20 minutes long.
We had a similar experience in May. It was very fast to walk off, and the taxi line was run very well.

St John Champagne Catamaran Sail
We do this excursion every time we visit the St. Thomas port. It is the best catamaran excursion we've done. The ride out is long but the scenery is amazing. The actual snorkel time is about 45 minutes by the time you get the safety brief and get into the water.
Enjoy whatever you decide to do!

Do they use dabbers or are the cards still poke and fold number on the card.
I cruised in May and they were the poke and fold kind.

You'll have to sit through the muster drill and major announcements in a few different languages :)
-
No Tervis cups onboard, but they do have plenty of souvenir cups with lids you can buy.
-
I saw the same thing when I logged in this morning.
-
Yikes! Hope this isn't the cabin I have booked on the Epic next month.

$30 per person increase on the excursion I was going to book for our May cruise. Too bad I didn't book it this past weekend when I thought about it!

Just off the Pearl and we had to experience the "tent" - they had security monitoring along the way but no real instructions and parking was VERY confusing. You must drop off your luggage to the handlers by the tent, then drive around to park in terminal C. Luckily the weather was cool and the sun was out - not sure what they would do in the event of rain. There was no Priority boarding until you got past the tent (about 45 minutes for us) - then the standard check in lines for Priority / Latitudes / general.

Do you know if Tim Kaminski will be doing the Alaska leg on the Pearl?
Tim was not on the Pearl for our cruise this week (we left the ship today). Not sure if/when he will be back.

I read somewhere that you have to pay for the shakes. Does anyone know how much they are?
If I remember correctly from April, yes they are extra, and I want to say around $5.

Teppanyaki always fills up at peak hours, so if that is on your to-do list I would book in advance. The Italian restaurant seems to be the least popular. On the Getaway there are touch screens around the ship where you can view availability and book restaurants/shows. Personally I wouldn't worry too much and just see what you're in the mood for onboard unless there is a certain meal or certain date you want to have plans for. We didn't run into any problems getting a meal where/when we wanted on the Getaway in April and could base it on the day's activities.
-
It was ok but I wouldn't care to see it again.
-
We enjoyed it. We booked the first night and received the discounted rate.

The Cruise Rewards number if anyone needs it is 866-234-7352. Just called them today!

Thanks for sharing your experience! Hopefully NCL will streamline the process more so that cruisers don't have to track down what they paid for! My biggest critique is that you have to book your shore excursion on board to get the $100 credit and can't pre-book. (Or if there is a way around this please let me know!)

There was no pub crawl on the C2N I did last year

Yes - the shows are repeated so if you see the show the first night, it is the same show when it's offered again a few days later.
