  1. I would call the insurance and ask "what if". They will tell you for sure how to go about things. Hate to show up, tell Royal he isn't coming then the insurance says oh well. Our daughters cabin mate had to cancel for a covered medical reason. She was reimbursed he portion and our daughter didn't have to pay anything additional and sailed alone. Better safe then sorry.

  2. I had a Verizon certificate (pd $450 for $500 credit toward a cruise) and you have to call a specific number to book the cruise. I called out of curiousity to see if pricing was the same online which it was. The next day got a call from a vacation planner letting me know he could book it and would throw in a bottle of Champagne & Strawberries. :D

  3. My guess it depends on the ship. No Carnival expert here but when we did the Miracle last month we were shocked people were still getting off at noon then we noticed how late it arrives so it made since. We had FTTF so boarded right after a wedding party & those high up with Carnival. Boarded about 12:45. You should have a boarding time on your boarding pass. They do indeed have the staggered boarding and you can only board during or after your assigned time.

  4. The only I ask is because I thought I read a disclaimer that it may not work while in some ports.
The package is also somewhat limited when in Galveston due to the Texas liquor laws. They can only serve alcohol that was purchased in Texas I believe so they have a more limited variety until the ship hits international waters aka when the casino opens :D Least that was our experience 3 years ago.

Agree, I would call Royal. This is what it says on the online checkin page. "When you arrive at the pier, you will need a printed copy of your SetSail Pass and identification documents for each guest. All guests listed on the SetSail Pass must be present to board and begin your adventure."
