  1. Thank you for your reply.

Probably my fault for not making it clear, but the promotion I was referring to was Seas the Day and the terms and conditions are dissimilar to those for the promotion you quoted, although I'm not sure if that helps me or not.

I'm pretty sure we received a net rate booking but I have again contacted Holland America by e-mail to chase up a response to my enquiry.

  2. We have recently booked a 28 night voyage on Rotterdam from Southampton to Dubai for the end of September. We booked a guaranteed Vista Suite at a very good price and were unaware of the above promotion.

When I went onto the HAL website to fill in my on-line info I saw the promotion and checked and seemed to be eligible for the obc. I e-mailed HAL to check this and have received no reply to date. I phoned HAL UK and was eventually told that I had booked at a net rate so wasn't eligible for the obc. I accept this but still can't find anywhere on the T and C's that you must pay a certain price to receive any promo offers.

Can any of you experienced HAL cruisers give me advice on this.

  3. Just to add my experience. On the recent Athens to Venice cruise on the Quest, we could only get one night at the Prime C when we tried to book three nights in, and that was the last night, an overnight in Venice and not at a time of our choosing.

It was great and well worth the money but the non-availability on other nights will not show up on Azamara's radar so they will not be aware of our difficulty.

On our next cruise at the end of August on Quest, we will want to try the 3 night top floor package so will need to book as soon as possible, avoiding the White Night and Azamazing evening. How and where do we book on the pier, prior to boarding?

    Thanks.

  4. We were on the Quest at the end of June, Athens to Venice, and almost every evening were offered or just given nibbles in the bar. Also, my friend and I drank red wine and the I'm sure that the table glasses were exchanged for red wine glasses for us at the lunchtime buffet, as they definitely were for the evening meal in the mdr, with the original glasses used for white wine for my wife and her friend.

When we dined in Prime C, the glassware appeared to be superior and seemed to make the wine taste better. Perhaps it was just the occasion!

We are back on the Quest next month and will take more notice of these things, but I would agree that the waiter service could sometimes be a little slow, even when the bars were quiet.

  5. We too were on this cruise and agree with all you have said. It is our third cruise with Azamara so we are already converts. Keep an eye open for offers as we are back on board Quest next month in an ocean view at less than £80 per night, cruise only, but the offers on that one have now gone! Can I ask where you sign up for the galley, engine room and bridge tours as I missed those but hope to catch them next time.

  6. Hi

Just to say that on our Journey cruise last year, we were having a pre-dinner drink by the MDR when we saw a smartly dressed man politely turned away by the Maître D because he was wearing jeans. No fuss made and he returned a few minutes later in different trousers.

  7. I have just looked at this cruise again on the Azamara UK web site and it is even lower than I paid. Showing at £899 for guaranteed inside cruise only but I don't know if this comes with any obc, which mine did.

No problem getting this info in UK£.

  8. We booked this cruise on a guarantee inside about 2 weeks ago at a great price with a UK TA but since then the price has gone up and up! Still no showing the Azamazing evening details yet.

Originally this cruise included Russian and Ukrainian ports but was changed due to the troubles there and lots of passengers dropped out. Itinerary is still good and this cruise at less than £80 pppd (cruise only) was too good to miss.

  9. Hi Bonnie and fellow posters

I posted my frustration at not finding details of my booking on a future cruise in the roll call and someone posted the reply below which I have copied and posted here. It is very convoluted but it works, I found our booking, flight details and pre cruise hotel so there is something in the system. Perhaps the 'techies' could make it easier to access as it really is there in the ether.

    Good luck

REPLY. It is showing on our reservation under Manage my Reservation. Not easy to get into - you have to go into Already Booked, then Manage my Reservation, then click back on Already Booked and then select Manage my Reservation again and it eventually brings up the Select button which then shows the details of your booking, such as cabin number and hotel etc. They don't make it easy!

  10. Hi Bonnie

Thanks for that. I haven't personally had a problem with finding general info on the site but I have noticed that there is no longer the information available relating to my specific booking, which was there when we booked and travelled with you last year.

I have completed the on-line check in but can find no information about my flights or pre-cruise hotel, information which was readily available last year. We are travelling on the Quest on 28/6/2014 by the way.

Am I missing something, ie looking in the wrong place, but shouldn't this info be available rather than having to bother our TA to find out.

Only my observations and not enough to deter me from booking again!

  11. We are booked on the Fascinosa Transatlantic cruise in March and want to do their 6 hour excursion in Rio. I want to pay using my shareholder on board credit but when I went to book the excursion on-line it wanted payment then.

Our call in Rio is the day after we join the ship in Santos so will we have be able to book a place on this tour the day we board and have it charged to our on board account?

    Thanks for any help.

  12. May not help but we have also booked this cruise with Imagine, probably the same leg of the cruise and are flying to LA with Virgin, then back from Sydney with them.

Previously we had sailed around Oz with Celebrity and, at the time of booking, asked for an extra 3 nights in Sydney and were quoted an extra £100 approx with the justification being that they had priced the holiday on bulk flights booked on that day.

I am sure that they can change the flights but at what cost? I am sure that you will enjoy the extra time in Sydney if you can get/afford it, but if not spend the whole day of arrival sightseeing intensively!

    Good luck!
