Per my original post regarding having to call my TA to ask for my quarantine refund,  I got an email back from them with my refund amount.  I could not calculate what it was based on because I have had several upgrades from the original cruise booked for 2020 and 2021 which were both cancelled plus I had Celebrity air booked.  Thus the calculation was complex but it was based on 2 people being quarantined for the full 10 days plus other unknown amounts but the amount was higher than I thought.  The TA said X would send my refund within 45 days.

Thanks Rick, that is about the same I heard from Celebrity's agent when I called this morning..... 30-45 days. She took my CC # and gave me the reference numbers. We were on the B2B.

Our cruise also ended on August 31 and my husband and I were quarantined for 8 days.  The letter I was given about the refund says 7-14 business days.  Because there was a holiday in there, I should hear back by the 22nd at the latest.  I have not heard anything yet.

Nothing yet for us either. My wife tested positive and was in quarantine for the last two days of this cruise, and along with me, for almost the entire next 11-night sailing to Quebec City and back to Boston.

We will be doing a back to back cruise later this year.

We will be on the same ship, Silhouette, but in a different cabin, actually the next door cabin.

We have never done a back to back.

How hard, or simple is it ?

Do you have to leave the ship ?

    Thank you !

If you haven't done so already, ask your agent for Celebrity's "back to back discount". You "must" ask for it, as in general practice agents do not give the credit automatically. Good luck!

At this rate of 1 point per month, I will never reach E+

The way you have been booking cruises lately Gerardo, I think it will come fairly soon for you and Lupita. We will make elite+ during our upcoming Summitt B2B, with you two being on the first leg.

My husband Don (dkjretired) was very active on this forum for many years. I wanted to let everyone know that he passed away on Tuesday, May 17. His obituary is below:

Jeanne: So sorry to hear of your, and our, loss. I have literally read thousands of Don's posts. Such a good man. Take care.

    Which one was that?

Yes, February & March, but not May yet it’s too soon, not until mid June.

    17/02/22. Go to Turkey Webinar = 5 points =702

    10/03/22 Go to Spain Webinar =5 points = 707

    03/05/22. Italy Webinar. 3 =713

I'm more bothered about the points due from the LGBT & Europe Quiz which are now overdue.

    7/4/22   LGBT+ quiz.                                           1=709

    20/04/22 Europe quiz.                                           1 =710

Jackie: I like that!!! I seem to remember that I was once able to access the PUP list from my Captain's Club account. Darned if I can locate doing it that way again. 🙂

For me, it might be worth booking a cheaper one.  I have 701 points, with 5 coming for surveys and and 40 for my cruise in May (that the email came for) 35 in Aqua plus 5 for go green.  That would put me at 746 for sure in time for my August cruise, so adding 5 here would kick me to Elite Plus for sure at the end of the May one.

    Decisions, decisions.

We are in about the same boat, so to speak.:)

I already had booked an excursion with Celebrity so hopefully that will count. I did complete the form as required. Didn't see anything that said it had to e a new booking. But I am so far away from the next level that it is really not big deal.

Should have gotten a conf. email, but you know Celebrity!

Your so lucky with the weather. We did the first, 90 mph winds, 60 foot waves, the sea came in through the doors by the Sky Lounge, all outside areas and balconies closed for most of the trip. Falklands was cancelled. Then after 2 days battling to reach the Peninsular we turned back to Ushuaia which we reached after a further 2 days of storms. One day onland and the Captain announced we would try again. 2 more days battling the storms and then 4 hours sailing amongst the bergs in glorious sunshine and calm seas. Turned north again into even worse weather for another 2 days. We have a map,  kindly drawn by the Captain, of the planned route and the one we actually took. Oh yes and we had a passenger mutiny which ended with passengers confined to their cabins with crew outside each door - the ringleaders were all put off the ship in Ushuaia. A great trip which we followed up by going on the 12,500 ton Fram.

Hello Geoff!!! You know our last sailing was with you and Anita on the 2019 Silhouette TA. One great cruise, my friend!!!

I’m interested in Infinity for Antarctica in 2023, fine if they eventually substitute another ship but wouldn’t want to lose the itinerary.

We booked Infinity 2/25/2023 Antarctica yesterday. It is the fourth of four sailings scheduled for her that year. We sailed her back in 2010 down to the frozen continent. Loved every minute. Hope they keep her!!!

IMO--- The best part of the AI is that the Gratuities are included -- with absolutely no option to remove them at any time -- period.  It's unbelievable what " some " people are like when it comes to tipping !!

Couldn't agree more. We were on a cruise where some folks from a country that 'doesn't normally' tip pulled their grats off of a B2B2B. They said we have paid enough already. 😞
