We book a new cruise every cruise we take. The one I booked in September got me a $200 OBC. We always what cruise we want to book and it takes just a few minutes. I've never bought the certificate.

They don't do a "hold" on CREDIT cards...only on DEBIT cards. They will "pre-approve" certain amounts on credit cards, but that's not a "hold".... and if you have sufficient credit, you'll never even know about it!
If you plan to use a debit card, forget it, and just take the cash out of your account and bring it...apply as needed to your account.
Credit cards are based on your CREDIT. Debit cards are based on your checking account...just bring the cash and be done with it!
I use a debit card and have had no problems. I haven't had any holds placed on my funds.

I am sorry you were unhappy with 1264. However, I am thrilled with what the balcony will be like as I must limit my exposure to the sun and appreciate the shade. There is a video of this room on you tube if anyone wants to see what it looks like.
Thanks!

I believe square footage is the same but, would expect widths and lengths to vary. So, while aft maybe more narrow, you my have more space between the bed and the windows. In addition, aft balconies tend to be deeper than those on the sides, including the humps.
Thanks!

Since they are sister ships, they should be basically the same ship with different names for spaces, I.e.: Alambra versus Arcadia for the theater.

36 days until Independence! 🚢☺️

I'm not sure what the number system but I imagine I can get them from one of my friends. Since you booked in January you will still get the buffet but not the upgraded one that Barefoot Beach gets. The change was made in October 2013 and you would have had to book before that.
I noticed that the latest posting of the cabanas on RCI cruise planner say they include the upgraded buffet. Could they have gone back to that due to complaints?

I believe the concierge makes up the schedule of where everyone is located on Barefoot and Nellies beaches.

I understood that if you stopped by the Excursion desk you could select your cabana at Nellie's Beach. Otherwise, you get what you get. I plan on stopping at the Excursion desk as soon as I board!
Great review! Thanks for the posts!

I think as the ships have gotten bigger, they have dropped the use of names. We hadn't even noticed it until you pointed it out.

Would 8086 be a good choice?

We had that cabin on Brilliance in March and loved it!!!!!

Matt, I agree. I love the Soverign class ships. I am thrilled to be boarding Majesty on Friday. She is a classy lady, where you can experience sailing as it was meant to be. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all of the RCI ships but.....Majesty is a pleasure to sail. She provides an intimate, more personal experience where you have a chance to get to know your fellow sailors because they don't get lost in the crowd. Love live her Majesty of the Seas!:D

RCI will honor lower prices until the date full payment is due! :D I have four cruise booked. In total over the last four months, I have had my price reduced by a total of $1,800 on three of the cruises!!!! Because of that, I was able to book the fourth cruise! There is a website that will alert you when prices change, cabins come available. etc. I use it all the time!!! I love to Cruise and Fish the Net!!! Unfortunately, I can't tell you you on Cruise Critic what the website is but, if you do a search you can figure it out!!!!

We're about to go on the Freedom and we have the premium package and one person has the Royal Replenish. We're keeping track of everything we get at the bar and soda machines - only so that we might be able to see how much we saved. We will report back. :-)
We did the package on Brilliance and I can tell you based on what we drank, we saved a lot of money.;) While we didn't get drunk, we did drink more than if we were paying for each drink. That was only because of trying to watch what we were spending. The biggest advantage is NOT having to calculate how much I have already charged for drinks!:D

My husband & I did the Premium drink package on Brilliance in March and loved it! :p I particularly enjoyed not having to worry about how many drinks we could have by the pool versus in the evening at dinner and the shows. :D It is most appreciated on sea days. The premium package covered all of the drinks except the extremely high priced like Johnny Walker Blue. We have booked the Premium drink package for our Majesty cruise in September as well.

Can you give a little more information on that? Where about is it?
http://www.johnwatlings.com Check out their website. The rum is awesome and you CANNOT get in the States. We particularly like their Estate rum. It is a great sipping rum. I wouldn't recommend mixing it! The distillery is in a restored plantation. It is definitely worth a visit! BTW, the food is good, too!

We did the British Colonial Hilton our last visit to Nassau. We booked on line. It was $60 per adult for an all day pass and it included a $40 food & drink voucher as well as use of hotel towels and facilities. The have a very nice bar and grill at the pool and very clean bathrooms behind the bar. The facility is gorgeous with the big beach beds and comfy lounge chairs. It is quiet and usually not crowded. Very easy walk from the Port.

We just did this last month, and not sure if its because our daughter is 4 or not, but they only charged us 120 for both of us. Then we ate 80 dollars worth of food, and enjoyed the day.
Nassau scared the crap out of me.
We did the British Colonial Hilton, as well. We thought it was worth the money! It is a beautiful facility and it is walking distance from the Port in the touristy part of Nassau. In fact you can see it from your ship while docked.
We are big Pirate people but, found the Pirate tour to be a little cheesey for our tastes, however, kids will love it....if you have kids with you.

I like Margaritaville.... certainly none where I live, none even close and as a Parrothead usually drop into the ones we bump into on our travels.
Anyone care to comment if there's one at Falmouth?
A true Parrothead never misses an opportunity to make visit to a Margaritaville. :p We will certainly stop by! :D

Then, I'm confused.....why are you on Cruise Critic if you prefer land based vacations?
