I am sorry, but I think Ben is the best piano bar entertainer in the fleet. He will be the John Heald of piano bar entertainers. Ole ... Ole....Ole....Ole...Ole.....
I agree 100 percent. We had so much fun with Ben and I can't wait to see him again on BC8!

I am also wondering what the hold up with the roll out is.

You (and your kids!) will love Castaway Cay! We usually spend the morning together as a family' date=' eat lunch and then drop our child off at Scuttle's Cove (the kids area on Castaway Cay). When my child was young enough to go to the Lab/Club, he never ever wanted to leave! The kids area is really nice. They have a water play area and buried whale bones to dig up and all kinds of activities! There isn't a lot of shade though so make sure you put sun screen on them.
Now that he is of the age to go to Edge, they still have an area for those kids with great activities. Last time they all did Pelican Plunge together, got ice cream, and went to the sports area and played games. I think my son said that all the kids talked about what they wanted to do when they were on Castaway Cay earlier in the week so that they kind of had a plan in place. We dropped him off where the Edge/Vibe kids meet and we took the tram to Serenity Bay and had the afternoon all to ourselves. Awesome.
My only complaint is that we are not there long enough!

Awesome to hear this news! Thanks for the info.

We also just booked our first Disney cruise and are very excited.
-
Do they offer the kids camp on the island or do they stay on the ship. We will be traveling with our two kids but would like to take some time to go to the adult's only beach.
-
Disney transportation leaves continuously beginning as soon as they allow disembarkation until everyone is off the ship. There will be buses going to both the airport and the WDW resort so they will direct you.
Is there a fee for this? If so how much?

I am new to Disney cruising as well. Our first one is set for next November. We have sailed many times before on Carinval and Royal but this rotational dinning is a new concept for us. I would like to try and book Palo but I do not want to miss any of my rotations, so how do I know what day to book. Will I get a schedule beforehand for the rotation?

Thanks for the review I am really enjoying it. What was the price for the cabana? Was the food included in the price?
I believe it was $120. The food was extra.

We (wife and I cruising with friends we met on a previous cruise) were on the same cruise as you, and yes, we enjoyed the Piano Bar too. Ben is the best we have ever seen. We have seen him once before on his first cruise. Best Piano man for making it memorable.
Hope we didn't take over the Piano Bar too much. I was half of the team of Bill and Rich. Sat up front a few of the nights and helped to fill Ben's tip jar. Helped pass out his funky glasses and hats.
Great show and practically free ( except the martini's each night).
Great write up, BTW. Keep it going. Brings back the memories,
Rich
Think I can recall you guys. My husband was the one Ben kept calling Frosted because of his hair.

Grand Turk:
Grand Turk arrival was at 7 am. We were off by 8 am. We had been to Grand Turk last year and rented a Cabana At Margaritaville. We decided to do the same again. It was great because the kids spent most of the day in the pool and we spent most of the day ordering food and drinks. Inside the cabana there is a button for service which comes in very handy. Since it was early morning we decided to order some snacks first so we went with the nachos. Later on for lunch Denny had his cheeseburger in paradise which he orders at every margaritaville. He is a margaritaville freak. So far we have been to 8 of them and at every one he buys a shot glass and a large glass for his collection. Anyway I was pretty stuffed from the nachos so I skipped lunch and went straight for the dessert which was Mango cheesecake. I have to say that it was one of the best I've ever had. My only regret is not ordering a second.
Outside of Cabana
AC included.

We did go down to the beach for a little while. We spent a little time in the water but swimming there isn't the greatest due to large rocks in the water.
We had to be back onboard by 1:30 pm. We spent the rest of the afternoon playing on the water slides. Tonight we had reservations at Cucino Capitano the Italian restaurant.

Formal Night:
Denny is getting tired of these because he is sick of dressing up. I however enjoy formal night. It gives me an excuse to buy new dresses. I also love the lobster and being on so many carnival cruises I have the menus memorized and I knew that tonight was my favorite dessert Caramelized Apples. Denny still wasn't feeling well and almost didn't make it to dinner. He did wind up going but instead of ordering his usual lobster he went for the prime rib. Dinner was very good as usual but when we got to dessert I was very disappointed because my caramelized apples weren't loaded with caramel like they usually are. There was no caramel on it at all which made the dessert very plain. I don't like to complain so I never said anything to the waiter.
Pumpkin soup
Notice there is no caramel :(

Loving your review! We are talking our 14DS on his first cruise this summer and we are keeping it a surprise.
Good luck keeping it a surprise. We also slipped up a couple of times.

Does anyone think it will be before Jan 2015?

Does anyone know when the Breeze will be getting the new menu?

We did spent some time in the pool. FYI the water was like bath water.
After we got showered and changed, Tyler and I went to go check out the 4D theater. We watched a movie called Planet Earth. All the movies were about 15-20 mins. It was really cool. Warning you do get a little wet. Planet Earth was about the sea life in the ocean.

Jayden wanted no part of the little slides. I think he was scared of the bucket of water falling. After we were done with the slides we did take him back to the sports square where the golf is located to play some more golf and bean bag toss. There is a bar on the sports square where you can pick up the bean bags or ping pong balls for table tennis. Also located on the sports square is a little hot dog stand called sea dogs. I don't like hot dogs but Denny and Tyler said they were good.

After lunch Denny wasn't feeling well so he went to the cabin and slept the day away. Tyler and I had lots of fun exploring the ship. First up was the water slides. Both were extremely fun and really fast. We only got to go on them a couple times because the lines were really long. It amazing the change in temperature from deck 10 to deck 13. It was really hot when you are observing the slides but when you climb up the steps it becomes windy and chilly. Waiting on line made us so cold that by the time you get up to the slide, you almost don't want to go anymore.

How about floor 6? Anyone have any info on this? We are looking to book 6470

That's awesome that you were able to keep it as a surprise from your son. He will remember that forever
It was hard but well worth it.

Is that homemade cream corn on your plate from Jimmy's BBB?!?!!!!!
How was it?
Yes. It was good but a little cold by the time I got to eat it because the line was so long.

Glad everyone is enjoying this. I should have more tonight. :)

Sea day:
I was going to post the fun times for today but I seemed to have lost it. We decided to sleep in today. The slot pull Denny had organized started at 10 am. We had quite the turn out. Over 80 people. The casino provided us with 15 shirts to give out. We didn't wind up winning. Everyone got about $15 from the $21 they put in. It was a lot of fun though and a great way to meet some people. After the slot pull it was time for lunch. Denny grabbed a salad from ocean plaza. They had a small salad bar set up. I decided to try Jimmy's BBQ. This was located outside on deck 5. The line was really long but the food was really good.

Please let this be true. I'm so sick of the old menu. We are sailing in Jan and would love something new.
