We stayed at Ibis Central for 3 nights last Jul. Rooms are small but clean. Very reasonably priced. Right next to the train station. Very nice breakfast $$. You can buy tours and bus/tram tickets on site. Right downtown.

I started sailing with HAL in2008 on the small ships which have superb libraries. Ships are almost the only place I will read a book and I found a great selection on HAL. The Koningsdam was a big disappointment, no books, no magazines! Bring back the library!

Was on this cruise, really enjoyed the Koningsdam. Now how about some books in the library?

Thank you for the updates. We are scheduled to board the Zuiderdam on Wed. Hopefully, Hermine will be on her way in the ocean and far away from the coast.

Will do the Midnight Sun in July next hear. I thing we Will be ,very Happy with the ship. Smaller than Celebrity Éclipse witch we much enjoyed despite hier size

We booked the Midnight Sun Cruise in mid-Feb and we unable to get first seating, only open seating available for July 2016 cruise. Disappointed but will survive.

I just booked a 14-day cruise on the m/s Koningsdam for July 2016 and we are also on the waiting list for first seating. I am not impressed. :mad:

We did the 35 day Hawaii Tahiti cruise on the Statendam last oct. This was our sixth HAL cruise. She is a lovely ship, well kept with a wonderful crew, I like the size of these ships! The only problem is that our cabin was under the promenade deck, we had one heavy walker at 06.15 hr every morning... Free cabin upgrade! Will not do this again...
