  1. Welcome Floridarob,

    Time is getting short.

Guest bedroom now full of clothes and everything else we take on a cruise.

    Actual packing on Saturday.

Flight leaves Sunday Fort Myers to Newark.

Work this week is crazy BUT we don`t let it interfere with our CRUISE.

See you on board. We are usually (ALWAYS) at the martini bar before dinner.

    See you then.

    Safe travels,

    Bob

  2. Hi Jim & Fred,

    Welcome to the thread.

We love longer cruises. 7 day cruises are just toooo short.

If you have taken a 14 day cruise before I'm sure you will agree.

Where did you live in Florida??

Over the years, we have lived all over Florida - Clearwater, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami and now Fort Myers.

Sign up for the Cruise Critic Connections get together.

Looking forward to meeting you on board. We are usually (should say ALWAYS) at the Martini Bar before dinner.

    See you there.

  3. Hi everyone

Our favorite jeweler is on St Thomas is Ballerina jewelers. They also have stores in St. Martin, however Garish in St. Thomes always takes care of our needs.

They always send a car for us when we are in town.

Usually MELT A CREDIT CARD EVERY VISIT. No problem, you only live once!!!

  4. I want to answer this question HOWEVER I need more information on Edge Class ships before making comment.

Looking forward to Edge and what I think (hope) will be in the Edge design.

Celebrity's design of the Solstice Class ships was a home run, absolutely fantastic.

I full expect Celebrity to do even better on the Edge Class ships.

  5. Dream cruise is a WORLD CRUISE But I have to admit this is NOT a dream. We fully intend to do a WORLD CRUISE. At least 2 and probably more.

Celebrity is our cruise line of choice. We would LOVE to do these CRUISES on Celebrity. If we could arrange an extended cruise of 80 to 100 days on Celebrity we would temporarily settle for this with the hope of a FULL world cruise in the future. Our intention is to do this in a Royal Suite. This is not wishful thinking. Doing a Royal suite on the Eclipse in Nov 2017 to check it out to make sure this is what we want for the longer cruises.

However, if Celebrity makes this type of longer cruises difficult to book, we will have to consider another cruise line but this is not want we want .

Celebrity is our home and where we want to be. We want to do the longer cruises on the larger ships because of the greater selection of on board activities. Smaller ships (30,000 T +/-) are too small for such a long cruise to keep from getting bored!!!! Millennium, Solestice or Edge class would be great. Azamara ships too small.

  6. We also want to take longer Celebrity cruises (30 to 60 days or longer) when we retire in a few years (hopefully).

Celebrity's current listing of cruises makes it difficult to plan longer b2b cruises.

Suggestion to Celebrity - Publish a sequential list of the cruises for each ship. This would make it much easier to plan longer cruises i.e. B2B2B2B etc.

Hopefully someone at Celebrity is listening.

  7. Comments that the company would do this intentionally only reflect the poster's unfortunate negative attitude to the world. How terrible to go through life with such an attitude.

A good business (such as Celebrity) does not operate thus way.

    These are just honest mistakes.

  8. Congratulations on ZENITH.

Terry and I are only half way there. However we have scheduled many more cruises recently (at least 3 per year) and hope to reach zenith in a few years. Our plans is to take 30 to 60 day cruises in the future which will help. I only wish Celebrity would make it easier to schedule these longer cruises.

  9. Hi Neil & Jerry,

Everything is fine here just a little hectic.

We leave on Sunday Nov 20 for San Diego and a Panama Canal Cruise from San Diego to Ft. Lauderdale on Thursday Nov 24. As always happens WORK IS GETTING IN THE WAY OF OUR CRUISES. We are both still working and somehow work issues always seam to come up right before we leave. I get very hyper and need several days to calm down before the cruise starts. This is why we are going to San Diego 4 days before the cruise starts.

    I am need the break.

Looking forward to meeting you in April.

  10. Hi Paul and Edward,

We really enjoyed everything you have posted.

It sounds like you enjoy cruises as much as we do.

We leave in 2 weeks for a 15 night Panama Canal cruise on Infinity (second cruise this year).

Looking forward on your ending post,

Hope you were able to watch the Cubs WORLD SERIES WIN. My Terry is originally from Chicago and it would have taken an army to get him away from the World series final game.

    Welcome home.

    Bob

  11. Hi Paul and Edward,

Your posts and videos are GREAT. You seam to always have pictures of drinks. I like it.

We were on the Reflection last year and it is our favorite Celebrity ship. TransAtlantic is on bucket list but not booked yet.

We leave for a Panama Canal cruise in 4 weeks. (Actually our 3rd full canal cruise).

Hope you have a fabulous time. Someday we may be on the same cruise.

    Bob

  12. We would also like to see Celebrity arrange longer cruises even if they are only b2b2b2b cruises.

A world cruise would be really GREAT.

We are preparing to book longer cruises (ie longer then 21 days ).

It would be very helpgul if Celebrity would publish the sequence of cruisess for each ship so we can book longer cruises as b2b2b2b cruises. (Like crystal does).

We will be booking longer cruises and at least 2 world cruises. If Celebrity makes this difficult, we may have to look elseware but don't want to. WE LIKE CELEBRITY.

  13. We always use Hertz. All Hertz locations we have used throughout the US have been great EXCEPT Miami.

Our last three Miami cruises using Hertz for departure have been a nightmare.

Taxi is the better option. Shuttle is not reliable. Possible multiple ships result in full shuttles, missed stops and long delays.

Once at the Hertz facility, your only salvation is if you are a Hertz GOLD CLUB reservation, and even then you can plan on a minimum 45 minutes for counter service to get your car. NO GOLD CLUB reservation much longer.

Unfortunately Hertz has no other options unless you take a taxi to the airport to get your car.

Even with these obstacles, we are still loyal HERTZ customers. We have just learned to work the system and relax.

    Bob
