Thanks Floris! Very helpful!

We are traveling from Manaus to Monte Carlo. Can anyone tell us if we have to leave the ship in Ft.lauderdale and if so, what is the process? When can we re-enter the ship?

The cruise was great but yes the cloooob felt empty without you guys!
All the more reason to book another one. Hopefully you had an enjoyable holiday period. The girls sent their regards.
Henry :)
Haha the cloooob!! We are looking at Singapore: starting Dec. 6 ending in Hong Kong January 3 or 4... Or just the Holiday portion starting Dec. 22 in Singapore... Our warmest regards to the girls!!

Thanks for the kind words guys :)
I know it sounds corny but it really is the crew who make Seabourn. We too were delighted when we recognised some of the wonderful people who looked after and entertained us from last year.
Some familiar faces in there :)
Henry
Henry, again a beautiful video - as was your video of the 2013/14 Holiday Panama Canal Cruise. You truly captivate how wonderful it is to sail with Seabourn. So sorry we missed traveling with you all this year. (I'm sure you missed us in the Club) A Very Happy New Year! W & P

I will be on the Quest in October cruising from Montreal to Ft. Lauderdale. I'm flying home on Southwest air (airport minutes from cruise terminal) There is a 10:10AM flight and a 1:50PM flight. I'm inclined to take the 10:10 as I don't want to wait around in the airport for hours. I'm told customs is to take place at Ft. Lauderdale even though we will have visited several American ports prior to disembarkation. What are your thoughts? Do I take a chance on the earlier flight?
Last year we arrived at about 6 am with the Quest. Customs did not clear the ship till 9:30 am. Loads of people missed their (early) flights. Also, all wheel-chair passengers must go first (Customs regulation) - which delayed a lot of people as well. We had a noon flight and barely made it - also be aware that the lines at the TSA at FLL are long and slow.

Henry, Thailand could possibly not have been as much fun with us and mr. Luxury not being there. And with whom would you go to the cluubb? The video is very nice!

perhaps if they would have shown me there storage safe, I would have been satisfied. And I know they cannot show that to everyone, but in this case, I was the only one worried.
But how would you know if they had actually put your passport in the impressive safe ?
On our last Dec 2013/Jan 2014 18 day Holiday Cruise through the Panama Canal to Los Angeles, they scanned our passport at embarkation in Ft.Lauderdale and we had it in our own room safe the entire cruise. They did not take it.

I have just been reading a review of a Sojourn trip in December (on another, UK) cruise site and the writer stated that they were offered just one soap by their stewardess and that there were no Seabourn tote bags left on the bed for the cruisers to use ashore.
Is this happening as a matter of course now, or was it a one-off?
We did the Sojourn Holiday cruise - 18 days through the Panama Canal - we got all the soap we wanted and 2 tote bags - one for each of us.

We went to a restaurant with friends on Saturday. It was something of a shock not to have people running up with wine and at the end of the night they presented me with a bill !!!
Next time I'll be booking Segways for 5.
Look after yourselves :)
Henry
Everytime leaving Seabourn, it's a rude awakening coming home - we were spoiled rotten.
They have Segways in Africa?

Thanks Henry for another wonderful reminder of a magical trip. Very well done!! I miss trivia and the cloob!!

Well we made it back in one piece after our first Seabourn cruise. Sojourn Fort Lauderdale to La via the Panama Canal.
A wonderful experience of which I will talk later. For now a video of our trip
Enjoy
Henry :)
Henry, you saw me 'cry' when your movie was played in the Grand Salon. It is a reflection of an awesome cruise. We were sad to leave the ship. We had no complaints at all and loved every second of our trip. Meeting you, Sharon and Emily added to the fun and great memories!!

Coming from Newcastle he'll not be a bad lad :)
I wonder if he will still be on board over Christmas and the New Year ?
Henry :)
Can anyone find out for us who the CD is for the upcoming Holiday Cruise? thanks!

Jane, when we were in St.Lucia during the Quest Holiday Cruise, the Queen Mary was anchored outside the harbor. St.Lucia Authorities would NOT allow ANY of the passengers to dis-embark due to the Norovirus and all the sick passengers on the ship!
-
It's all based on my hosting service. In this case I'm using Smugmug (a pay service), however Googles Picasa (free) would also allow me to link large images. I think the key thing is that I'm linking images from a dedicated hosting site rather than attaching them to the post. This way when I get the link to the image I have a choice of sizes.
Thanks Baychilla, I will try this!!

Perhaps I need to clear a few things up. I am not a she. Further despite the negativity that people read in my posts ( minor quibbles for the most part). I had a great cruise. The bar manager that others seem to like is incompetent and argumentative with passengers that know better. A few passengers were bent on being savages and spreading norovirus. A great cruise overall and it saddens me that there aren't any other photo laden reviews.

Baychilla, I've tried to upload pictures but they always turn out as tumbprints - not sure how you are able to upload so many large pictures. Would love to know... thanks!!

JaneBP' date=' Could you kindly tell me how to find Marja's Facebook page? I would very much like to see it. Many thanks, Joe[/quote']
marja koenen-nat is her facebook page. You can also go to seabourn friends fb page
She was a lovely lady who just loved life!

It is so sad about Marja. After watching the video she was given during her last cruise, its hard to believe how quickly she has deteriorated.
I'm so glad she was able to enjoy her last cruise with her family. The video is an awesome tribute to her 550+ days on Seabourn and to her being one of Seabourn's biggest fans. I love watching the video (with tears). You are right seabournaddict, she deteriorated so quick, she had hoped to be able to do the Quest crossing November 24, but it was not in the cards.... :(
-
Marja was Seabourn biggest fan and sailed over 550 days on any of Seabourn ships. You can watch her (seabournnail) video's on you-tube. She will be greatly missed on future trips!

I'm loving the pictures! thank you for 'taking us all on your trip'!

Hi Baychilla! thanks for the updates and great pictures, especially the Amsterdam pics (where I'm from).
Since I'm Dutch I can translate the sign at Schiphol airport:
"gelost" = the luggage has been off-loaded from the plane.
The poster with the bride is an advertisement for traveler's rights when planes get cancelled or are delayed.
I'm very jealous you are in my home town. Amsterdam is spectacular when the weather is great. The harbor is very interesting and the Sail-Away party should be extra special!
Have a super trip!
What is procedure for continuing passengers upon arrival in Ft.lauderdale
