  1. I'd like to plan a cruise from Tampa to Cuba for next year, 2018, but can only see the month of May open. Does anyone know when or if Carnival will have additional months listed on their website. I can't travel in May. I prefer early spring or late fall.

  2. Carnival Magic sails from Port Canaveral. This port seems to be having terrible traffic and logistics problems at boarding times on Saturdays. We sailed from this port a couple of weeks ago on Saturday and it took us over three hours to board due to traffic congestion. Our transfer van picked us up from our hotel within sight of the port at 12:00 and we got on board at 3:30. You might want to get to the port as early as possible, regardless of the boarding time you are assigned. Just saying...

  3. So........will I be able to send an iMessage from my iPad on the ship back to my daughters iPhone in the States by connecting thru iConcierge . And there will be no charge? Sorry to need to ask what may be obvious, but it seems like all of the above discussion applied to iPhones. I will only be using my iPad on board the Epic next week.

  4. We have a Verizon flip phone that is not a smartphone. We need to have a way for our family back home to call us in case of emergency. If we take that phone and leave it on during the cruise, will we incur any charges, other than when we recognize the incoming number and actually answer the phone? Customer service at Verizon is of no help.

  5. I am about three weeks away from my Epic cruise. I choose the free Internet package but today realized I should have chosen the drink package and just purchased the 100 minute Internet instead. We will be visiting St Thomas so I can easily use my cell phone to call home so won't be needing to have the Internet to check on things with my family. Is it possible to swap this close to sail date?

  6. My husband and I are in our 70's and would NEVER want to be part of the show. Can we request balcony seating? Is the seating immediate or will we have to stand in line? We don't do lines very well anymore. That would be hard for us.

  7. What is the difference between premium and standard seating for Cirque, other than price. I know the difference in price is only about $12.00, but I don't have the beverage package and that would buy us a nice preshow drink.;)

  8. Same question on the Epic. I have a cruise booked for February and used the Internet package as one of my "free" choices. I'm just wondering if the drink package would have been a better choice. We are not big drinkers and I really didn't think we would drink enough to justify paying the mandatory gratuities. would the Internet package work well enough to use my iPad to check on things at home?

  9. Take the books and do what ever it takes to pass those tests and get that degree. You'll have time and money later to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You will never regret giving up a few hours of your cruise. I've been exactly where you are now, forty years old and getting my degree in accounting. I'm retired now and have money and time to enjoy it. Good luck.

  10. Next spring will be our fourth cruise from Port Canaveral. We always stay at the Country Inn & Suites. It's so close to the port that you can actually see your ship docked and waiting for you. They have free breakfast and free shuttle to the ship. (Tip the shuttle driver). Shuttle drivers are super nice and helpful. There is a fast food place across the parking lot where we eat supper. I'm not sure if they have airport pickup. We drive down and park our car in their lot while we are gone.
