Not from what I saw on the Zaandam earlier this month. I commonly went through the casino about 5:00 am to check out ESPN on the Mix bar and the map of the ship's location. Other than some lights on, no signs of life in the casino any morning, sea day, or not.
There's many a night I am still playing the slot machines til 5am in the morning. But you were on the Zaandam. Not exactly one of HAL's busier casino ships.

When the casino opens on sea days varies a little by ship, but it is never open "all day". It may not open until 10am, or noon, or something like that. But HAL have never run a 24 hour casino that I have ever seen.
They leave the slot machines open 24 hours if the following day is a sea day.

OK, thank you. When I did a search with Cruise Critic, Rotterdam, and 7114, I came up with THIS thread. Take a look at post #4. I must have misunderstood and thought that you were showing your own invoice.
I understand now, I do not remember where I got that from but it was not my invoice. Both my wife and I receive offers of a Neptune Suite from the casino and we have for years. All the way back to 2007.

Thanks colbe! Could you tell me how to copy/paste the location box of my post like you pasted in your reply to Laminator? I want to do the same on my question to him to show the location of where he had mentioned the stateroom number that I am asking about? Hope that makes sense!
I always stay in aft wrap neptune suite. I have never stayed in any cabin other than a Neptune Suite so I can not help you with a Signature Suite question.

Moriah, same thing happened to me. Please get back and let us know if the Players Club ever replied to you.
Laminator, is there a department at HAL I can contact?
You can contact Carnival Casino Division but good luck waiting for them to get back to you.

Laminator, when researching my stateroom number for my upcoming trip on the Rotterdam, I noticed that you may have stayed in the same room. It's SS 7114. Could you tell me if there was noise from the 'gray' area across the hall, or from the Inside stateroom directly opposite of 7114?
Anyone else stayed in this area around SS 7114?
I can't be of any assistance. I have never stayed in that cabin.

Laminator - This is off topic, but I have posted a message to you on the main HAL Forum. Hoping you can help me.
I am going to need your help. I don't understand the main HAL forum.

I greatly appreciate that, but I actually don't remember! With the ones that come by email I know exactly what to do - the offer code is always on the email - but this was something that came to my stateroom on the last day of a cruise, and I stupidly tossed it! I did spend quite a bit of time in the casino on that cruise, and I remember thinking, oh well, by the time I book another cruise this offer will have expired... never dreaming I'd be signed up for another one just a month later. I remember it included some casino Free Play, and maybe something in addition, but as said, I can't remember... (that won't happen again, sigh...)
If your offer was for $100 and drinks in the casino this is the offer code. HAL3M5 If it was for something different that code will not work.

Thanks, but i don't think this one got linked to my account - it's been over a month since the cruise, and my PCC can't find any mention of it. I wonder if these offers that you get while on board behave differently than the ones you get in emails? This is the first time I've attempted to use one of these, since I rarely book that soon after a cruise, sigh, I never should have thrown it away! 😞
I'm still waiting to see if the Players' Club will respond to my inquiry which I made via the form on their website. Anyone else had any experience using one of these? Thanks again.
If you could tell me exactly what the offer was I could probably get you the code. I would need to find someone with the same offer and find out what their code was. Not easy but I may be able to pull it off.

They are supposed to have it loaded to your card they just can’t seem to have it done - HAL’s IT department strikes again. Yes, they are supposed to be under the same IT and Casino operations but it does not seem that way.
Further to my earlier comment if HAL's IT dept was involved with the casino the casino would be out of business!

That is actually outside of HAL's IT dept. The casino personnel are supposed to get it loaded onto your account.

Seems like there are a great number of people on this cruise that got some sort of casino deal.
Unlike Princess where everything is automated, Holland I far from that. I knew that I had a lot of casino cash coming but when I put my card in a machine, nothing came up. That would have been automatic on Princess which were used to.
I asked the casino host and she said she has to input it. She was carrying several sheets of paper which looked like there were hundreds of names. Apparently if you do not have her do that, you will not get your money.
I had booked this cruise under a casino offer I got under my name. Awhile later, I thought that just for the heck of it, I would have her check under my husbands name. She said he had $600. coming and she would input that.
If I had not haved her check, he never would have known about that !
This is hit and miss. Many times it does show up on your cabin card. It all depends whether the hosts have enough time to get the free play loaded. Personally I like to use my free play on the tables so I get free play chips at the cage.

Keep in mind that HAL only leases out the space to a casino operator. It’s not theirs so the policies are the gaming company’s.
It's all under Carnival's umbrella which owns HAL. The casino is operated by Carnival Casino Division.

The casino spending counted in the past, has something changed?
The casino spending has never counted towards mariner points. If it did i would be a 500 star mariner...lol

I do not have the length of time here as many of you do but I seem to recall this complaint coming up every year except for the covid period. I would have more sympathy for the poster if this issue with spring break was new but it has been discussed here in the past.

We have actually sailed & gambled more on Princess but I know that the gambling info is shared between some cruise lines.
The absolute best offer from Princess is left in your cabin on the last day of the cruise. You have about a month to book & the cruise can go out only about 6 months.
All the email offers I get from Princess are not very good. Only about half the one left in the cabin.
Holland sends me offers (email) all the time. Some better than others. That is why you have to look at each one & not just erase because you assume they are not good. The last was to good to be true so I booked for next year. I had read somewhere on cruise critic that these offers can be used 3 TIMES each from Holland even though the offer does not say that. I just tried a mock booking on the offer we just used and YES, it appears I can use that offer again :O)

Just curious. I've gambled on both Carnival and Holland but never gotten a casino offer that I am aware of. How do you receive them? Do they come directly to the email account other cruise advertising goes to or do you have to sign in to your account and fine them there?
There are 2 ways to receive offers. One is a Come Back and Sail offer which is left in your cabin usually the morning of the day before disembarkation. The 2nd is thru email offers. You need to make sure you are opted in to receive emails from HAL.

My offers have pretty much vanished. After 26 nights on Rotterdam last spring, I was hoping I'd get some good offers. Not that I'm much of a high roller. But nothing exciting. Basically just my "usual" 20-30% offer, which I'll take.
So, I sailed again in January and I've received only ONE offer and it wasn't a freebie (hey, I only get interior cabins at the best of times). So I booked that for November. Booked bare-bones interior cabin. I get drinks while gambling and a whopping $100 in free play. Again, I'll take it.
But I'm starting to feel like they've decided that since I seem to always have at least one future cruise booked at all times, they don't need to entice me with offers. This is how I felt about Carnival. I was at over 30 cruises (most with casino discounts) before they FINALLY offered me a free interior cabin. Maybe because I'd stopped booking with them!
Anyway, nothing new for me. But if they can't give me some offers, I simply won't spend my money in the casino. And maybe I'll even stop having 2-3 cruises booked each time I sail!
The generosity and frequency of the offers have declined dramatically over the past 18 months. As the ships are sailing fuller there is no longer the need to fill up the cabins with casino offers. There is alot of Holland America Casino Players on a site that I am not allowed to mention here. There is much more robust information on casino offers and the tricks needed to obtain better casino offers.

HAL doesn't actually make the casino offers. Like so much else on their cruises, the casino is outsourced! I forget the name of the franchise holder, but I have read it on CC.
THAT entity thinks you are a safe bet to gamble more than their price for the room and drinks.
THAT entity is Carnival Casino Division which is under the Carnival Corporate umbrella. This I know as I have been sailing on HAL casino invites since 2007.

Ocean Players Club is a Carnival Corp subsidiary. It handles the casino stuff for all the brands.
Exactly...It is all under the same corporate umbrella. If they were outsourced they would triple their income.

How often will the casino be open on Alaskan cruise?.
in Holland America Line

As an FYI for those who may hit a jackpot after the tables and cashier cage are closed they have a form you fill out by the cashier cage. You fill the form out and drop it in the box. When the casino opens up in the morning they will load the jackpot onto your cabin card.
