it is a la carte on Oasis Class ships. on the other classes it is a flat rate that covers one entree and as much as you want of anything else.
Thanks for the clarification bc I was confused about this as well. Just watched a periscope of someone on an Oasis class ship and they said that it was a la carte but then read a blog that said that it was a flat price.
Does anyone have the menu from the Oasis class that they could post? Inquiring minds want to know. :D

As far as Johnny Rockets and soda package that is for boardwalk balconies. I believe the Central Park Balcony includes dinner at Jamie's Italian, but it may be another CP restaurant, hope this helps!
Is this for any BW or CP balcony or just for suites?
-
Following you on Periscope. Can't wait to see more of this beautiful ship! :)
-
Here's one that I found while I was looking for a tour of the Carnival Breeze.
-
Is anyone planning a cruise on a Carnival ship in the near future who plans to Periscope during their trip? I would love to get to see 'scopes from the Breeze and/or the Sunshine and get to cruise vicariously through you, however, any ship would be fun, I think! :)

Lastly: will they wash them for you? If you were to put a juice or milk based drink (think pins coloda or labadoozee). The cup could get pretty gross after a day or two.
I always bring my own little container (like the little travel containers you buy at Walmart) with Dawn dishwashing liquid so that I can wash our Tervis/Yeti tumblers every day.

Yes, there is. Its in a new(er) shopping center within walking distance of Puerta Maya where Carnival typically docks.
One thing we did notice, however, was that it was considerably more expensive than the store in Grand Cayman. If you're going to be in port in GC, I would highly recommend stopping in to see them. Much larger store with a whole room of clearance items.

The itinerary is what sold it for me since it goes to Labadee, St. Maarten which is a fav, and San Juan!
These are the ports that I'm looking at booking on the Oasis for September 2017. That will be our first RCCL cruise but DH and I are already getting excited.

Thank you so much for scoping karaoke! What a laugh we had!!!

Any suggestions on what to do if you're not beach people and don't want to shop? I'm so disappointed that we're confined to the RC-owned area. Wouldn't have booked this itinerary if I had known we couldn't leave.
Check out the RCCL excursions page: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/destinations/shoreExcursions/subGateWayByPort/search.do?LocationCode=LAB
They offer everything from a walking tour to zip lining, parasailing, sport fishing, coastal cruises and coastal tours.
Hopefully you can find something that you'll enjoy. If not, I agree with a previous poster: make it a ship/spa day. This is what we plan to do on our upcoming trip to Belize.

Great review! Thanks for taking the time to let us hear what you thought about the ship, the food and the service.
Is the All Access Pass similar to Carnival's Behind the Fun that takes you on a "behind the scenes" tour of the ship? If so, what was the cost and, in your opinion, was it worth it?
-
Next - We are going to purchase the 3 night $70 dining plan for the cruise. We are wondering.....are we allowed to go to the same restaurant twice? Or do all 3 nights need to be different?
I'm new to RCCL and hoping to book the Oasis for our cruise next year so the dining plan is new to me. Can you give me a little more info? Is that price per person and what restaurants are included? TIA!

I got an e-ticket via email that shows my deposit and balance due. It says to take the ticket to the beach club entrance at Playa Mia to pay the balance.
I've never heard of shoreexcursioneer.com before so I thought I'd ask if you've already been and how your experience was booking through them.

I did the zipline at the port that Carnival uses, not Coxen Hole. It's was pretty good, but I've seen better. You can walk out of the tourist center and see it across the street. You were required to use your Sign & Sail card to pay or you could book the excursion on the ship. There is no need to pre book the excursion. I walked right up and started the paperwork got geared up and headed out to the zipline. I am going back in May and going to try Pirates this time around. I do recommend it if you don't want to travel any farther and spend the day at the beach. The last line is pretty great except I didn't make it to the end. I started to pull myself but the guide working that line cam and got me, so no worry if you don't make it.
Can you tell me the name of the zipline company and also give an idea of the cost? Would you suggest this for people who have never zip lined before?
Thanks in advance for your help.

The cab lady that was driving us was NOT friendly at all and was really snotty with her replies and remarks. She obviously rolled out of bed on the wrong side...well guess what, I rolled out of bed to clanging pots and pans being throw at my ceiling and I wasn't rude, so there's no excuse for the way you are talking to people and the "attitude". I guess that caused you your tip money. Here's $15 and I hope you aren't the one to pick us up. Good day. I seriously hate rude people, especially if you job is customer service.
This sounds like the lady that we had there in 2014. She was a bit older and seemed so unhappy...with everything! If I recall correctly, she didn't get a tip from us either.
I love how it was all open like this but always wonder what happens when a hurricane comes?I've wondered the exact same thing about Sunset Beach in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I love how open and breezy it is, but I'd hate to have to be there during or even after a hurricane.

I believe I asked you this a while ago but I can't for the life of me remember what you said...what is the name of the font that you use for your name on the pics? I love unusual fonts and I don't think I've seen this one anywhere else.
I'm really enjoying your review since we did this same itinerary a couple of years ago on the Freedom and we're booked to sail on the Breeze later this year (different itinerary, though). It's always fun to cruise vicariously through these wonderful reviews! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this!!

Rooms 2337 and 2341 are both quiet. Loved this spot and would book it every time, if possible!!

Aside from using the small ice bucket in your cabin, consider bringing a collapsible soft side cooler with you. Your steward will keep that filled up for you, also!;)
This is what we did on our last cruise and it worked out perfectly. I asked the cabin steward once that was all it took. He made sure that it was full of ice each time he came into the room. We will definitely do this again.

Here's the link to Zydecocruiser's blog with all of the menus from this past February aboard the Carnival Freedom. It's by far the best that I've seen.
http://www.zydecocruiser.net/CarnivalFreedomBC9/menu/mdr_menu.html
He includes a lot of pictures of different dishes that are being offered. I'm excited about giving this a try in September.

August 27th is our wedding anniversary and we love to cruise during that time. The only down side would be if there was anything tropical brewing out there but other than that, it's a perfect time to sail: Most schools are already back in session and it's just before Memorial Day.
As for things to do in port, I second the idea of touring the ports in San Juan. I believe it's $5 per person to enter and that includes both forts. I would suggest catching the free trolley to take you to them, if you've never been and don't know where you're going. We tried finding it on our own, since I had heard that it's "right at the port." Well, their "right at the port" and my "right at the port" are two different things. We spent at least a half an hour trying to figure out how to get to the closest one. If you go, be sure to bring some water (it will be REALLY hot that time of year) and wear comfortable shoes because you'll do a lot of walking. San Juan is a port that we would love to get to return to someday.
Grand Turk is another favorite. We did snorkeling through White Sands and would recommend it. It was walking distance from the port (the property is adjacent to Margaritaville), was much cheaper than booking through Carnival and there were a lot less people in our tour than with Carnival. I think there was a total of eight plus the two guys from White Sands. They also take you to a small island and you get to play with sting rays.
We haven't been to either of the ports that you will be visiting so I can't comment on them, other than to say that they are both on my bucket list.
We always prepay our gratuities, that way it's already taken care of when we board, however, we always tip extra to our cabin steward and wait staff.
Have fun planning for a sailing on your cruise!!

Carnival needs to hold the Muster drill in the public rooms instead of packing us like sardines under the life boats. Princess, Royal and Celebrity do it that way. Not sure about NCL, its been a while.
They did it this way when we sailed on the Dream this past November. Our particular meeting place was the Crimson MDR. Much more pleasant than out by the life boats!
-
Unfortunately, we did have to cancel our sailing that was scheduled for May since we knew that we would not be able to pay the balance that was due earlier this month. That particular cruise was also considerably more expensive than the cruise that we have just booked. We were able to book with the discounted deposit and will have to time pay the balance by the due date.
At any rate, we're excited to be able to cruise again with our friends and to be able to do so aboard the Breeze.

I'm pretty late coming to the game but I saw a post you made on another thread and saw the link to this review in your signature. I must saw that this is probably the best review that I've seen to date on CC!! The tips and tricks have been amazing!
We've never cruised RCCL but are planning to book the Oasis for September 2017 so this review has been wonderful!
I had a few questions that I'd like to ask:
I also wanted to note that you absolutely made my day when you posted about the fro-yo by the pool! The one thing that I've been dreading missing from our Carnival cruises was the 24 hour soft serve (I prefer the frozen yogurt), so this made me very happy to hear that it was available on Oasis!! :D
Again, thanks so much for taking the time to do this! Great Job!!!
