With my experience, in every port, the official simply look and/or collect a photocopy of the visa.

I looked back on my visa, that question did not seem to exist at that time.

In my experience, when you check in at the terminal before boarding your cruise, you need all your required visa and documents. They can refuse your boarding if they are not in order.

Haha yes for both, the vietnam visa and swimming fly. The good news is that they dont' charge you if the visa is denied. With regards to swimming IM? I used to be a breaststroker but after 2 years not swimming due to the pandemic, then swam with a team that only swim long distance freestyle, my breaststroke is non existent now. Trying to keep the rhythm back...darn difficult.

My friend filled in Solstice Cruise ship as local address and his evisa was denied. They wanted the seaport address. I wish they will and should make it easier for cruise passengers.

That you can look up the seaport address from the internet. You should be able to find that. Good luck.

If we wish to venture out to see the Grandma and Grandpa rocks, are taxi easy to get? We have a group of 20, will be be better to hire a bus? Also, we are debating whether to pay USD 30.00pp for the tour bus to ride into the port at Chan My to pick us up, or simply walk the 600 m. Can anyone shed some light please?? Thanks.

I am trying to arrange a private hired car, but there are so many conflicting information on the web. Some mentioned that one way from Port to Sanutuary of Truth is only USD 20.00 for a taxi, while the private company quoted me USD 190.00 for 6-8, but wait for us at the site. Also, they said when we are going to be at Laem Chabang, there is a festival, so prices are higher as well. How is your experience with having to pre book a car? Thanks.

Hello there, I read from the forum that the taxis that passengers can hire at the cruise port are cartel controlled and that they asked for an exuberant price. It sounds like it is very difficult for passenger to hire a regular taxi. Is that still true in Laem Chabang?
