This is our first time getting a balcony and was wondering if we can sit on the balcony while the ship is traveling? Is it too windy or even too cold at night time to sit there? We know it can get windy just walking out on the decks at night and just wondered about this and also have warmer clothes for the evenings on the balcony's?

We did sail Carnival a long time ago and we also have that "star" by our names on the online check in.We have sailed 4 other cruise lines in the past but this our first with HAL as we are trying them all before we settle into one cruise line. Thanks for the info on where to eat.:)

My wife got hers before dinner but I didn't get mine till after we came back after dinner. So it depends on the loads of luggage that they receive at the docks. Good luck.

We have our cruise this Saturday on the Westerdam and wondering where we can go for lunch other than the Lido restaurant as being so crowded at that time?

We are planning on taking 2 bottles of wine on board with us to drink in the evening on our balcony. We have never done this before and would like some ideas on how to carry it without to much bother, as far as protecting them from breaking. Cheers!

We are with the original posted question. We don't like the belly fop competitions or the loud music or the over crowded pools and the loud kids chasing each other around the ships.I'm sure that HAL will be the ships for us from now on as we get older and have been there,done that in our younger days.

We are going on our cruise in 7 days on the Westerdam. Do they supply the soaps and shampoos? On one cruise line, we had to supply our own. Thank You

14 more days and anxious to go Westerdam. We finally got our vb room assignment this morning and love the location.... 6th floor on the rear starboard side.

Our next cruise is on HAL WESTERDAM the Saturday after Thanksgiving 12/1/13 this year out of Ft. Lauderdale and can't wait. Although we have been to most of the places, we have 2 new ones on this cruise to visit and enjoy. Hope to here from other cruisers that might be on tis cruise too. Happy cruising everybody!
