  1. I also just got off the Equinox on Sat.  I was on a small tour with 6 guests and 1 officer.  We were asking questions and told that yes, it was going to Spain for dry dock, so with travel time, the dock time would be considerable less.  She said crew would be working around the clock on the interior upgrades while traveling and the exterior stuff once in Spain.  She said some things were not going to be done at this time, but not to worry, she would be looking great and ready to sail.  So I guess we wait and see how much they can get accomplished.  There was no talk of cancelling any cruises.

  2. I have been strictly following KETO since Jan. 1st.  I am down 30 pounds with 100 to go.  My vacation starts in 10 days.  I save for a year to take a 7-day cruise and it does include the drink package so I have already planned to cheat (I have to get my money's worth mentality).  With that being said.. I love frozen drinks and sweets/any deserts.  I am prepared to have a gain and get right back to it!  Looking for advise or motivation to maybe gain less that I usually would.  An average gain for me after a cruise is 12 pounds, and that's not eating like a pig either.  I salute the rest of you that can go on a cruise and not gain!!

    Thanks to all you reply!

  3. That awesome and sounds very exciting.  My partner and I will be on the same cruise with you.  We may not cross paths much, since we do not get to enjoy the Suite Life, 😉  But I am definitely not complaining!  We will be off the ship at each port, so if there is anything that we can bring back  for you,  please don't hesitate to reach out.

Baltimore port is only 2 hours from us so it’s definitely the go to port for us to depart from. We want to spring for balcony and I know carnival is def cheaper in that aspect that the grandeur was and have hurt a lot of good things from non gay travelers on their ship and they said they enjoy it! I was just reluctant to pick either or because my wife and I would def not be over the top or affectionate but you can def tell we are gay, so I did not want staff or such treating us differently or possibly rudely during the cruise. So thank you for your feedback!

We were on Carnival Pride last fall.  We had a wonderful time!  I usually travel Celebrity, but this one worked out well for when we wanted to travel.  We loved having the balcony, but truthfully did not use it much.

It is obvious that we are a couple, and walk around holding hands & hold hands at dinner.  We never felt any animosity from staff and everyone was friendly.  I'm sure you will have a great time!

We are doing Celebrity Equinox in April and can't wait to get out of this snow!

  5. I'm a little nervous to cruise with my wife. Has anyone had experience good or bad with people being accepting? We care going to Cozumel and Progreso.

    Hi Amy,

My partner and I sailed on Carnival Pride doing the Eastern Caribbean last Aug. We are affectionate people, and tend to walk around holding hands. We did not encounter any negativity on board the ship and just tried being a little more discreet in ports. But to see the two of us together, it is pretty obvious. We showed up for the LGBTQ meet and greet, but no one else did, so we really didn't make any friends on the ship. We are a little shy, but that's ok, because we really were there to just enjoy each other's company. We are sailing again in October on Celebrity Equinox doing the western caribbean. I'm sure you will have a great time!

  6. I think we have a good chance of keeping our itinerary . . . . Cruise ships are going to Freeport still so that is a go, Grand Turk has reopened and though I haven't really heard much about it, through Holland America it sounds like Half Moon Cay is still okay. Will just have to watch and see where other ships go in the next couple of weeks. That will tell the true story!

    That would be awesome!

  7. We are taking our first cruise out of Baltimore on the Pride on October 1st . . . can't wait. It sounds like she is a beautiful ship. Hope you all have a great time on your cruise this week, New England/Canada sounds like a great adventure!!!

I am on the same cruise on the 1st. I wonder where we will go....

  8. We are on the same sailing and super excited to be on X again! I have been reading all the threads and not worried at all! When I cruise, I have a great time... Regardless! It is a state of mind. We have early dining and love having the same table mates so can't help you with that. Go and enjoy!!
