Following this as we are driving in from Northern VA (almost 3 hrs) for an 8 night cruise on July 8. I've heard stories about really long lines for parking. I don't even know what to expect there. We've waited in parking lines at Baltimore so I'm hoping this isn't any worse?

We have a stop in San Juan on our July cruise from 12-7pm, first time visiting PR for us. We'll have our 2 boys, ages 9 and 6, along. Just wondering if we should book a shore excursion with our cruise line, or is San Juan easily walkable? What are the best places to see that aren't too far off? Also thinking it will be quite hot and humid in July 🥵
