  1. We also bought a CD, and we had 6 weeks to choose our 15 photos. Upon choosing them, I downloaded them on a memory stick, took the stick to Walgreens, chose the sizes I wanted of each pic, and they printed them without question. Did you give them the actual CD to print from? If so, maybe that's the reason.

My parents bought individual pictures, and each of them have a small bar code at the bottom. I bet these would get stopped for sure.

I did read somewhere on CC that you can get a waiver to print what you want. Anyone know where to find that?

  2. We were spoiled on Disney with an in-room curtain that separated the bed from the sitting area (we had our daughter in a pack n play).

We're sailing next year on the Serenade. I was looking at pictures and there seemed to be a curtain - is it decorative or does it open? If it does open - how much of the room does it cover.

    Thanks!

I'm probably of no help, but I just got off the Allure (in JS), and the curtain went all the way across. I actually used it because I got up before my husband. I would think the Serenade would be the same in a JS.

Hopefully someone who has been on the Serenade will chime in for you.

  3. Perhaps I'm in the minority here but I think the pizza at Sorrento's tastes just fine, so long as it's fresh. If it has sat for any length of time, then yea it tastes pretty bad but so do most foods. I'll take Sorrento's over the room service menu late at night.

Totally agree. I didn't find it horrible at all, and it was most always fresh because they were so busy. You can also create your own if you wanted it fresh out of the oven.

I ordered room service pizza one night, and it was so bad I only took two bites. Really, really, horrible! As stated, Sorrentos is much better.

  4. We were just there November 4th, Nellies OTW. When we got to our cabana, the attendant introduced himself, and I politely asked about the upgraded lunch. About an hour later he appeared with gold bands for our party of 4. He told us not to mention this to anyone, but I noticed he did the same thing for a cabana on one side of us, but not the other. If they didn't ask, they probably didn't receive. The food was excellent. Steak, chicken, shrimp, hamburgers & hot dogs and several side items. Most important....coconut ranger cookies!! There was not much seating. We went at 11:30 and by 12:00 the line was quite long. Yes, we tipped him well at the end of the day.

Also, we needed another floating mat, and he brought one. I told my mom she would have to pay for it, but he never asked for SeaPass.

It rained most of the day. Our jet skis were cancelled, and just after my mom harnessed up for the zip line, they radioed down and said the rest of zip lining was cancelled due to lightning. We ended up buying the unlimited slide, and I have to say...it was a blast. Pouring rain on us the whole time, but loved every minute of it.

The captain actually left Labadee two hours early because everyone was back on board. Even through all that, Labadee was our favorite stop. The rain was not cold, and we didn't let it ruin our day, shortened it, but not ruined!!

Oh, one more thing...the lady checking into her cabana in front of us booked it on board the day before. I don't know if they hold some back or if they didn't sell out.

  5. Bob...Regarding Labadee cabana's...I just upgraded to a JS, and am wondering if it will qualify me for Barefoot beach and upgraded buffet? I already have a cabana rented on Nellies, and would love to move to Barefoot.

    Thanks.

  6. Ok, so if I followed along correctly, JS on Allure will provide shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel (not bar soap) in mini's all week? If that's the case, I will take mine back out of the suit case. It adds weight when every ounce counts.

Too be clear, I don't want the mystery stuff. :)

  7. Email Special Needs at special_needs@rccl.com ahead of time and they will place a box fan in your room if they get notice in time (they only have so many I suppose). We do this before our cruises as my husband has to have a fan on to sleep at night also. We have used the fan app on my phone a couple of times at home when the power was out due to a storm and it is better than nothing but nowhere near a real fan, IMO.

Thank you! I will do that right away. Problem solved!

  8. I'm past final payment, and over the weekend I changed cabins, same category. No problem there, but when she was all finished I asked about my OBC. She said it had fallen off. She couldn't put it back on, and we ended up in the Resolutions dept. to get it fixed.

Had I not asked, I would have been without it in November. She didn't notice it was gone.

Thanks to Cruise Critic for all the valuable info, or I would not have even thought to ask!!!

I wonder how many people find their OBC is mysteriously gone when they board??
