thinking of the sydney to hawaii which looks like will be on the edge

As per the title does anyone know?
Thanks
-
hi sorry not a cash refund just a refund in general but not FCC again
-
We have paid the bulk of our cruise with a FCC and have only a couple of hundred dollars to pay with a US agent.
Not sure how a cash refund works if we cancel since we haven't made full payment or do we have to accept another FCC?
Thanks for any help.

We were interested if this sailing was available but cant see it online. Has Celebrity stopped this one?
-
Only you could have made the choice and I'm sure its the right one. Think about your next cruise when things start to settle down.
-
So this could be new tactics. Everyone hears of getting put in a non balcony cabin and doesn't report their sore heads etc...voila covid free reporting ship.
-
This has been a super interesting post. Take care everyone who was affected and everyone who is due to cruise.

and even more good news.............
The rules on testing are to be eased for people travelling to Scotland from abroad.
People who are fully vaccinated or under the age of 18 will no longer need to take pre-departure Covid tests from Friday.
Passengers will also no longer be required to self-isolate on arrival until they have received a negative result.
The same changes for people travelling to England were announced on Wednesday.

Just throwing this out there...is it in everyone's mind who wakes up with a sore head etc goes on to think it must be covid......I mean is a call to Celebrity guest relations while on board a "must" or could you have a day in bed with some paracetamol.
-
Re Q17...Thanks it explains clearly about FCC and you are able to use 1 year from original sailing date
-
Surely this is not correct? So if you have a couple of bookings in 2022 that were paid with FCC and want to cancel you have to go by end Dec 22?
What if the cruises were funded with part FCC and part Cash......I wonder?

We live in the UK [Scotland to be precise] and today we received some good news which is:
People who test positive for Covid in Scotland will be allowed to exit self-isolation after seven days [WAS 10 DAYS] if they have no fever and record two negative lateral flow tests.
The move brings Scotland into line with England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Household contacts of people with the virus will be allowed to take tests rather than going into quarantine, [WAS 10 DAY QUARANTINE] so long as they have had a booster shot.
This might not mean a lot for some people but for us its about turning a corner, especially in light of the new variant.
We are due to sail Europe in June and when I look at Italy "covid numbers" we have the following: Note MILD CONDITION.
1,421,117Currently Infected Patients1,419,689 (99.9%)in Mild Condition1,428 (0.1%)Serious or CriticalWorldwide Chart: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries- 3

feel sorry for you........unfortunately this is getting a bit like Russian Roulette....you either get hit or you don't.....we all need to take your comments into consideration as I for one would not want to spend a number of days cooped up in a cabin
-
At the end of the day Celebrity has banked the cash and are issuing a FCC. A credit note which should be turned around in days but from personal experience taking months for whatever reason I do not know,
- 1
-
ok just received ours in total just over 3 and a half months
-
30 days I don't think so...........
-
From a purely selfish "hope" we have been waiting 3 and a half months for our FCC [that's 3.5] from the original cancelled sail date... so longer from the cancellation email.
We accepted 125% FCC rather than the 100% refund thinking we would get it within a couple of weeks of agreeing to it and hence giving us a 2022 cruise schedule to look at and rebook. Now with all that's happening in the world I am hoping FCC guidelines change.

Still waiting so that's been 3.5 months........

If you are asking the question you must have doubts so the answer is no. There is always another time. I see you are from Florida and the cruise must be a Caribbean. Personally if we lived in Florida with all that sunshine we would be happy to stay at home.
Good luck whatever you decide.

Just to clarify. Scotland retained mask protocols and the UK govt implemented mask restrictions again a few weeks ago.
The following is good reference for Europe.......

@Dwight....I too believe cruises will go however it will depend on the public perception as to whether they decide to go or not based on the facts at the time I hope the go we have cruises booked however will decide nearer the time.
