  1. Was thinking of some previous ports we have visited or would love to do an overnight stay:

Istanbul - we did an overnight on Celebrity a few years ago...fascinating city

Madeira - stopped on a Transatlantic with Celebrity and found the place really charming

Chania Crete - did not do an overnight but what we did see made us want to stay longer....when walking to the harbour area you can really feel the history and got us thinking about the trading ships from long ago

Honolulu - bring back one or even two overnights

  2. We are on the Aug 26 2024 sailing as coming from the UK we like to have some sun on our back when on holiday and therefore April may be a little cool for us. If there are crowds (and lets be honest crowds are everywhere) this has never put us off in the past and wont do in the future. As for children on the ship I would imagine most schools will have returned at this time of the year as the cruise will also be entering into the first week of September.

The ports we are visiting should be great and ideal for either beach in August or some nice sightseeing.

PS We will also be Aft......always aft.

    Enjoy.

  3. So we will be on the constellation next year for the first time [first time M class ship] and had an opportunity to switch from a balcony cabin to a sv balcony cabin so I chose 8172. Could still take 7208 one deck below.

Any comments [pictures] welcome from people who have stayed in either.

    thanks

The prices of hotels are just crazy on Maui/Wailea.   Some more than 2 x pre Covid.   This is one reason we would prefer to do a cruise and the unpack once part.  I do think either way once you include flights and excursions this could add up to be more than a European cruise for us.

you know its funny you said that because my wife just said to me what is the cost of the cruise including flights, hotels etc [we are from the UK] and when I told her she gasped and said we could book the Caribbean and Europe for the cost.............now she has me thinking!!!

  5. I was comparing our cruise we have booked for 2024 to Hawaii with a land based holiday to Hawaii and I can't believe the cost of some hotels. Not only that on Maui a can of coke is $3.25.

Having never visited Hawaii I wonder what peoples thoughts are? Cheers..........

  6. before we have cruised we normally have a look at some reviews and then after we have returned we wonder if the people posting "really bad reviews" have been on a different ship. But I suppose its all about ones expectations and the service they receive. So far we have been very lucky with all our Celebrity cruises because apart from a chicken being undercooked on the first night they have all went to plan....People pay good money for a celebrity cruise so they deserve quality service.

  7. Received a call from my agent. Issues with the port has changed the sail date from 21 Sept 24 to 20th Sept 24 meaning it is now a 13 night cruise and not a 12 night cruise.

Our price of the cruise remains the same with a complimentary 100$ obc per balcony cabin stateroom. Full refund offered if deciding on cancellation.

PS I believe the 13 Sept 2024 sailing from Vancouver is also affected as the agent mentioned the two dates.
