If you are planning on being outside, at night, in May, in San Francisco...be prepared for the cold...dress accordingly.
Thanks!

Ok, thank you for your reply. I just was not sure how it worked. I have never been on a cruise that has been in port overnight. We will be on the Royal Princess overnight in San Francisco in May.

Has anyone used Johnny’s Shuttle or Lotus Shuttle from LAX? Not wanting to do Uber but wanting a clean, reliable, private shuttle.

Our spring cruise itinerary has us in San Francisco overnight. Being that it is a two day port call, I am just curious if there is a onboard curfew time that you need to be back on the ship the evening of the first day?

That really helps a lot! I never really paid attention to the prices in the past as I always purchased a coffee card. But my husband or I neither one would use a full coffee card during a seven day cruise. But with the changes, I was wanting to see the prices so I can make a decision on whether to just purchase as I go rather than purchase a “coffee card” that will expire at the end of the cruise.

Does anyone have a picture of the current Royal Princess, International café menu/prices?

We will be on the Royal Princess in May. Our itenerary has us in San Diego from 7am to 6pm.
We are thinking about going to SeaWorld from 10am to 4pm. Is this doable? How far is it from the cruise terminal?

Thanks so much for the helpful info!

Using the app on your phone to call an Uber or Lyft car is very popular here in California.
I wonder why you are going to Buena Park before the cruise?
The only thing there (unless you are visiting relatives) is Knotts Berry Farm amusement park but you may not have lots of time to enjoy that?
We are flying in early on Fri. Meeting friends for dinner at Medieval Times Dinner Show. Will stay in Buena Park overnight & head to cruise next morning.
Also, would love a recommendation on a hotel in the -Buena Park area. Not seeing a lot of great reviews ...

Any recommendations? We are needing transportation from LAX to -Buena Park and then the next day from -Buena Park to San Pedro Cruise terminal. Also, about how long is the trip from Buena Park to San Pedro? It will be on a Saturday morning.

We were on her 2 weeks ago and the Salty Dog is in the Wheelhouse.

I had the same situation happen to me, although we had requested no upgrade. We are traveling with friends and chose our cabins near each other and did not want to be moved. When I first tried to contact my TA I could not get a hold of her. I then contacted Princess just to see if my original cabin was still available and it was not, now I was really feeling frustrated. I explained the situation and the Princess agent told me that since I was moved to a upgraded cabin location my travel agent could request that I get my original cabin back and they would just give the upgraded cabin to whoever had been assigned my original cabin. The princess agent said he would make a note of it but my TA still needed to call to make the change. When I did get a hold of my TA she said she would try but did not know if it could be changed. I told her I had already spoke with princess and they said that they thought they could change it back. It was the next evening that I finally saw my old cabin back on the cruise personalizer.
So I know it can be changed back, at least it was for me. Good luck! : )

My daughter and I were just on the same cruise. I have submitted a review which I hope will be posted soon. We found the ship very crowded. No one ever starved to death on a cruise but we especially enjoyed our dinner in the Crown Grill and went twice to the Saltydog Gastropub. Our favourite place was Vines. Considering everything, I gave the cruise 4 stars. I am annoyed with myself for not getting the name of the best cocktail I had which was made with ginger beer and lime. Got it in Club Fusion and it was really delicious.
The cocktail that you had made with ginger beer and lime, was it called “captains bounty”?

I never bring my own to save packing space. I have long hair and always use the ships hair dryer. I have found, although it is not extremely powerful, it works fine.

Thanks for taking the time to share your adventure...
I have a question, wanting to make sure I’m understanding correctly, they no longer put stickers on your cruise card for the soda beverage package? Do they now scan your card each time you order a drink? I had read that they were doing this with the new coffee package but I did not realize this was applying to the USM.
