Let me close this as I am feeling more like one-against-the-world a bit. If a contract is formed, (and a booking is absolutely a contract) remedies, or lack thereof, for defaults by either party must by law be clearly defined and understood or provided to a requesting party in a timely and effective manner. That's not me speaking.... by a Justice in the US Supreme Court.

Any Attorney will tell you, if your planning a Lawsuit, you don't publicize it BEFORE you file it. All I want is to know... what if? I don't think you know how many lawsuits are pending out there with Cruise Companies and how long they take to resolve. My simple $5k for the cruise and 1.5k supplements wouldn't even justify small claims!

I see some of you, veteran cruiser too, think I am paranoid or 'not trusting those around me' but you obviously do not have access to what 'legal actions' are going on across the country about situations of default by online Covid Test Proctors! Many people have reported no problems but.... you do not hear about the many that do as they are instructed by their legal counsel NOT to post. Again, at an absolute minimum, I do not understand why I can't get a qualified answer as to a set of fully defined variables.... try to test, try to find alternative within 48 hour window, couldn't, denied access to ship.... what happens? If the 'qualified answer is you loose all your money then either I have to have a 'rock-solid' Plan B or Cancel now, as was suggested. Cost of alternative is again a concern BUT not the main concern... probability of alternative IS.

Thanks and that is what the tester told my friend who was at Bayonne. Or more accurately they said, 'chance in hell of same day as we have too many kids'. At this point, CVS didn't seem to have same day available and neither did walgreen... maybe I should ask my Doc if he would watch me take the Rapid test and givce me the proper docs (at least as Plan B)?

Close but not exactly.... You are right, I am not referencing a POSITIVE test but rather the inability of a customer to get a PROCTORED test within the less than 48 hours remaining before the cruise (as a default by the online Proctoring service would cause). I talked to my TA and they said call RCL. I just finished with a merry go round with RCL (three switches) where that said I had tyo go BACK to my TA to find out the financial remedies of such a situation (in other words, they could not confirm a refund/FCC/or SOL?

Sorry if I did'nt present it correctly.... My concern had nothing to do with testing positive. If I, or a member of my family, test POSITIVE I know, and understand, that I would not be allowed on board and refunds/FCC are addressed outside of CWC. My question was, since recently there appears to have been a flurry of litigation having to do with 'defaults' by online Proctoring services... what happens if that service defaults and no other testing options are available within the less than 48 hour window, as at THAT POINT... you can't cancel anymore with the CWC Program?

Cruise with Confidence & COVID Pre-travel Testing Trying to figure something out…. Based on some random legal postings of pending legal actions RCL MANDATES that you have a ‘Proctored Covid Test’ within 48 hours BEFORE Cruise. ‘Cruise with Confidence’ program MANDATES that you CANCEL BEFORE 48 hours BEFORE the Cruise in order to get Future Cruise Credit (NOT A REFUND). What happens then if your PLAN A (Online Proctor Service) does not meet their obligations and no local options are available in the next ‘less than’ 48 hours? At the point you find out there is a problem... you are already past the notification threshold for the ‘Cruise with Confidence’ program?
