Bao is an Asian fusion restaurant that Blue Herons recommended in another post.

Thank you, Lois and Blue Herons. We'll be staying there for 2 nights. Is Bao a good place for kids? How about Mexican or Cuban?

Are there any good restaurants that are kids friendly and not too pricey around Las Olas Blvd.? (my kids will be 11 and 7). Thank you!

Thank you all for your inputs. I just booked the Riverside instead and splurged on the executive room :D (so much for trying to set a budget!) Thanks Capriccio for the info.

Hi all,
We already booked the Embassy on 17th Street, but now have second thought due to reading so many great things about the Riverside Hotel. Would you choose Riverside Hotel over Embassy if pricing is the same? (no free breakfast and happy hour for Riverside). Please help me decide since there are only 2 rooms left at Riverside for that same pricing. (we won't be renting a car).
Thank you!

Trailer food = food truck. We have quite a few where I live and I like them!

Thank you all for your great suggestions. Renting a car for the reverse trip seems to be a great option since we have a few hours before our flight home. Now, where in South Beach can I find a good Cuban restaurant or trailer food :D?

Thank you all for your quick responses. I just booked Embassy on the 17th Street since it seems to have such a good price right now; only 165/night, not including taxes.

Hi all,
We are a family of four, kids age 7 and 11. We'll be flying into Fort Lauderdale 2 nights prior to leaving for a cruise out of POM. It will be our first time visiting these two cities. We are on a budget and a gold member of Hilton Honors. We don't plan on renting a car, but will do so if it's more economical . Please help us decide if we should spend one night in FLL and one night near POM, or both in one of these two cities. We are not really active people but don't have mobility issues. We need recommendation of a good family hotel in the Hilton group that's close to restaurants and entertainments in either FLL or POM area. We are not interested in partying or nightly entertainments.
Thank you in advance your help. Any suggestion is very much appreciated.

Thank you all for your responses. I just booked room 8554 :). From what I could gather, it seems like this room has the least obstructed view. Hopefully it's true.

Hi,
Please help me decide between the two. Both are mid-ship. What are the pros and cons? I've had 5 cruises all with Carnival, and thinking to give Norwegian a try. Is there a "view" in an obstructed OV? Can a child sit and have a lookout by the window? Pictures of these 2 categories are much appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi,
We brought home some chips from our recent trip with Carnival Magic. Can we cash those chips at our next cruise with Carnival? The 100 one has the Magic name on it.
Thanks,

We are leaving on November 10 and will be in Freeport on November 13. Any info is much appreciated :D

Keep it coming, please :D Did your room have a full kitchen as well? Do you have any pictures of the beach at this hotel?
Thanks,

If Bao is great, we'll try it out. My kids do have sophisticated palates :) Thanks again Blue Herons.
