  1. thanks for making me laugh....

quite a few years ago we spent two weeks in Loretto so can't wait to get back to the area.

Thanks for your help... I will be blogging about the voyage so you can check back to see what I did in the end and how cold the drink actually was :D

Just ran across your post. We will be in La Paz and Loreto in February. I'm interested in your thoughts (blog) Can you direct me to the site? Thank you

  2. I booked this excursion in PV, with Princess a couple of months ago for our April cruise & the charge was $89.00 PP. Now it is $99.00 pp. Glad I booked early.

So I guess the price thru the cruise shiip isn't that high after all. Although, I know it does not include that dolphin encounter or swim.

For our Cruise on Princess in February the price is $89pp:o

  3. Just want to mention that I booked RCL cruise insurance for the first time for Serenade a couple of months ago. The RCL rep told me there's been a recent policy change... my air (any cancellations/delays) were not covered by the RCL insurance, flights only covered if you book through Choice Air.

What if it is too far out to book air? Seems to me the RCL insurance would have to be much preferred in order for this to work. I often find Southwest Air to be the cheapest option and this airline isn't included on travel agent quotes. Since travel insurance is best purchased at the time of booking you are taking a chance on getting an acceptable flight. What am I missing?

  4. I made a choice in life to not have kids. I also make vacation choices that involve options with few or no kids. I'm quite tolerant of a lot of things in life. Chances are I wouldn't be so tolerant of adults when they choose not to follow the rules established by the cruise line. Please don't place yourself (or your kids) in a position that forces the ship crew to act in a way that will only create hard feelings and a negative experience.

I chose to have kids, have grandkids, and love kids. BUT there is a time and place for them and would not appreciate them where they are not supposed to be. I heartily agree with you

  5. I am on the Emerald arriving back at Houston on Feb 1. Does anyone have information on embarkation times? I am looking at a flight out of Hobby that leaves at 1:45PM and am thinking that by taking my own bags off I can make this flight. I have not cruised out of this port or with Princess so it is new to me.

  6. Just like Guest 2000 said, they are very conscious of getting you back to the cruise ship in time. Transportation was very smooth for us. We still had plenty of time after we got back to shop in port and pick up different things for everyone back home.

    Thanks for the info

  7. I understand they provide transportation to and from the pier. However on their website they state that they have no responsibility to get you back to the ship on time. It is "up to you to monitor your time" ?? Am I missing something?

  8. You know you are grasping at straws to make your point, don't you? Yes, these two lines serve that small area, but only during island exclusive cruises. They have sea days when they sail to and sail back for the cruising season there. But, if it makes you feel a better person, I will defer to your very specific, very isolated, very infrequent example. That virtually 98% of all other cruises have sea days is of no consequence. You win. I bow to your superiority in absolute deference.

You both need to chill out. Hit the bar and start enjoying your cruise without judging every little difference of opinion of your fellow cruise.

  9. I too have never seen them open. I just chalk it up to "it's too expensive" to fix, maintain etc. Much like I have never seen the revolving bar move on any of the Radiance ships. It functions without the movement, so why spend the money for parts to fix it. Neither of these affect my cruise either way, so I could care less.

    What's a revolving bar!
