So, last night! We had a ball. Honestly it was everything we dreamed it would be! The dinner was great and I would estimate less than half actually wore DJs or cocktail dresses. Mr CT not keen on a tie but he always looks smart. I don’t wear dresses but prefer trousers and glam tops. I read somewhere that ‘wear what you feel comfortable in’ and that is my advice too. Don’t worry about dress code too much as long as you look smart you’ll be fine!

Good morning Baser! Thanks for your kind words. I have taken a picture of the swimming pool just for you. It’s not huge but it’s an older ship. Early dining was 7pm but last night it was 15 minutes early due to gala night. Not sure about late sitting. Our cruise was sailing at less than half capacity- late sitting for restaurant isn’t even listed on the planner! So may be different for future cruises. The speciality restaurants had times of 6pm and 8.30 so maybe it would be the same as that.

My mistake! We were tied up in a kind of lock & now we have moved into the main Portbury dock! Just having breakfast outside in the buffet so still watching the action!

Docked now! Better get back to pack up stuff- need to be out room in 30 minutes. Took amazing video footage of sail in to Portbury that I will put up on my YouTube channel one day soon!

Great atmosphere Bootleg Beatles tonight! I’m excited!

We heard the Bootleg Beatles rehearsing just now and I’m SO excited about seeing them tonight!

Hid some more ducks across the ship - not all easy to spot in the photos! I had to snap & run!🏃‍♀️

Wandered around the ship. Went on walking track on top deck. Realised I had somehow hit up there with an open entrance and the other exits were cordoned off! Imagine my shock when I went to go out of the only accessible door (where I had made my entrance) only for the handle to come away on my hand! 😅 luckily I popped it back in and it worked! Cinderella shall go uk the ball after all!! 😂

We have drinks package so working through the menu! 😊

Also, maintenance very good onboard. Painting all clean & good. Carpets look like new and everywhere is spotless.

I have to applaud Ambassador for allowing us complimentary wi-fi honestly it’s fast and a great perk on our two day cruise! 👏

Oh wow! That DoNut is beautiful! Amazing work- well done! I’ll pop past when hiding a few more purple ducks! I notice one of mine has been found! 😍

Then we hid a couple of ducks! Can you spot them? Now relaxing looking out at sea for a while! Listening to the waves and enjoying the good clear air. Started in the sun & now it’s in the shade-perhaps the captain could steer a bit in a different direction? 😅

We had a light lunch of soup, salad & desserts. I took my plastic cup of lady grey that I made in the room, so I had my favourite tea after lunch. I just asked for a cup & saucer. The waiter nodded in a knowing way and said ‘Ah! Medicine!’ I laughed and agreed it did certainly make me feel better!

Lunch is 12-1.30 and dinner is 18.45. here are todays menus in case anyone is interested!

Went back to stateroom & washed my hair. Shower good and worked well. Towels good and hair dryer also fine and not too heavy to handle as some tend to be! I now have my ducks in a row ready for hiding and giving away! I know this is a widespread practice on multi generational cruises but I think adults are just as delighted to find a duck! 😊

After such a late night I was tempted to skip breakfast but then noticed there’s no food on the ship from 9.30 until 12 noon! We’ve never experienced lack of food on a ship before so I woke up MrCT from his slumbers and said I was off to get some! He has joined me and we sat right at the aft of the ship- breakfast alfresco with a sunny sea view! The food quality was not as good as MSC or NCL but we enjoyed it all the same!

We’ve seen some weird & wonderful dancing tonight but had great fun with our new friends made onboard. Smooth sailing so far & we’re enjoying it! Goodnight!
