  1. Tipping those SERVING you is just the right thing to do. It’s not about what continent you are from. It’s about acceptance of that service. Wow.

Wrong. Just because you are American and used to tip for everything does NOT make it the right thing to do.

In most other countrys the salary the employer pays covers everything,

  2. Is it YOUR business why it happened??? If your that interested start monitoring maritime sites ....Do some work yourself if this interests you so much!!

If he is a future cruiser on that ship then it is absolutely his business why it happened.

He raises legitimate questions that deserves answers,

  3. Everyone. They work double shifts and get a 2-3 hours off every day. I am sure it was those hours they ment when they were talking to you. How do I know? I used to work as a bartender on Seabourn and Radisson Seven Seas. And while that was years ago and I now only visit ships as a guest, I still have many friends in the industri and its not easier work now.

  4. We are on Magnifica in 4 weeks time and had exactly the same thing. Every time I changed seating from 18.30 to 20.30 it said saved but kept reverting back to 18.30. We booked with a TA so called them to see if they could do anything and it's now showing as 20.30 second sitting.

It may be worth calling whoever you booked with.

Thank you! I will do just that.

  5. On the MSC website I am trying to change my seating time from 18:30 to 20:30.

It says in a pop up window that the new information is saved but the time itself on the reservation does not change. Should I be worried? Do I need to call them? Or is the pop up correct and I can assume that my dinner time is 20:30?

This is on the Divina and I do not want to eat early.

  6. Has any one stayed in cabin 13150 Norwegian Epic, wondering if there is any noise heard from the gym above?

    Thanks

That cabin is great. I was just there. On the corner in the middle of the hallway. Great view, huge balcony. No noise from the gym was heard, no noise from anything actually was heard.

I had a problem with the door. It would not lock, took them 12 hours to fix it. Cabin steward said not to worry, he would keep an eye out and there was a security cam just outside our door. Everything went ok.

Doorknob to balcony is loose, didnt bother me.

Normal wear and tear besides that.

I posted a review 4 - 5 days ago but it hasnt appeared yet, maybe I was stopped by the censor??

  7. Hei,

Just booked a cruise on the Epic. 22 June, deck 13, B4 cabin for myself and my daughter (7yo)

Coincidence really that we went with the Epic. I showed my daughter a bunch of pictures of various ships on the net and she picked out the one with the coolest water slides. I read something about the largest casino afloat so done deal! I said yes and booked right away.

On this board here now just to learn more about the ship and I must say there is alot of good info.

It's my first cruice but I am not new to cruice ships. I worked on Seabourn Spirit 1995-96 and Radisson Diamond 1996 - 97. Hard to compare...this is a huge ship and those two was 10000 and 20000 tons. And on this one I will be the guest :)

I cant wait for my vacation, will be following this board to see what good info I can pick up
