I would like to know more about the couples thing also. Years ago on the allure my wife and I did something where we had a private room and some special mud to put on each other then two shower seats/steam seats to sit in and rinse of It was one coolest things we have ever done on ship.

Can you be more specific. Vague posts like this do nothing to help anyone.
-
Bonus also you can take your bottle to any specialty restaurant also. Just make sure they clearly mark your bottles with your cabin number. I kept ending up with the wrong bottle when we moved from the mdr to specialty.

Since they eliminated the package tiers how much is everyone finding they spend over the $ limit. I am big bourbon drinker and while I know the selection isn't the greatest I do plan on sipping on what the do have.

Another bit of info from Royal PR: "Grand suites and above do not pay the service charge."
Another punch in the face for those of us who were stupid enough to think booking a JS would get us smaller yet enjoyable suite experience.

Go for it. Its tradition for my wife and I. Will be my third time on the Allure of the seas. No pole work on the rails! Turn out the lights, don't be to loud and HAVE FUN!. We have never noticed anyone and if they saw something good for them. Odds are you will never see them again in your life. You only live once so check that off your list. Now if you have a connecting room with your father and he happens to open the door that is soooooo much worse. It took my wife a good 2 days to speak to him.

I agree with you on the fact that Royals website quite often is lacking in some details that would be nice to have.
Just make your way up to CK when you board and you shouldn't have any issues.
FYI, your Seapass card won't open the door to CK so you will have to knock or wait for someone else to enter and walk in with them.
Thanks for the advice. I assume that's because of the suite lounge that offers cocktails for GS and up. This will be our avg between all guests 4th time on the ship and we are looking forward to trying something new.

Nowhere on their literature that I have found does it specifically mention that advance reservations are allowed for any of the suite classes. It only states reservations are required.
Others have reported that if you make your way to CK right upon boarding then you should have no issues with making reservations.
I happen I didn't come across as snotty in my reply. We tend to eat earlier out of habit because of our 1 and 4 year olds so we just want to maintain that routine. Like most people I wish this stuff would have been better explained at booking and CS would have a clue.

Don't be surprised if you don't get a response. The concierge is a perk for GS and above and while JS's do get the perk of dining at CK it us only available to book on board and subject to availability. Making reservations is a perk for GS and above.
Can you please point me to where on the RC website where it says this because to me it's just an example of another bait and switch tactic by RC. I know on the FAQ it says that it's only available for GS and above but
Nowhere does it say it's a perk but you only get the leftovers that other suites have left you. We have a party of 8 in 3 JS and would like to be able to enjoy the perk as advertised.

The Anthem did, but guest services told us it was $15 per day per device.
When we got home we found out here on CC that it was only $7 for the whole 12 day cruise:confused:
We really could have used it.
They quoted you the price for the high speed internet.

I just got off the allure with my 10 month old. They do not have dedicated sheets for the p-n-p. They use flat sheets. We brought our own because my son is used to being on fuzzy sheets. Also another tip that we used very successfully is to bring magnets to hang sheets from the ceiling to make a wall around the crib so you don't have to worry about light I. The room. Just make sure they don't hang it too tight to the ceiling if it's in front of the air vent (warm room and cold baby)

I remember reading that children take the status of their parents. Is this true? My wife and I are showing as platinum buy my two boys are showing as gold.

Thanks everyone. I reset my phone and there was another update that disabled the feature. I was able to put it into airplane mode and make a call over wifi. Thanks for the help.
-
Correct. I'd put the phone into Airplane mode and then turn back on the WiFi. That way there is no chance of cellular charges.
I dont believe you can make calls when you turn the cellular off with an Iphone. I turned it off, connected to my home wifi and all I got was you need cellular on. Am I doing something wrong?
-
Yes they do....it's set up wonderful...The nursery and staff are amazing. We have used the nursery on two recent cruises with RCI.
Im assuming based on the times that they are open they will not give any food to my son if we leave it with them (bottle, food pouch) correct. Not a big deal but just curious.
Did you have to sign up as soon as you got on the ship? Did you have to pick the days you wanted in advance and where you locked into them?
Thanks for the help
-
Yes, no problem.
So no international data or roaming charges? Wifi calling won't work if cellular is turned off on the iPhone
-
Does the nursery have cribs that the kids can sleep in for their late night hours?

I wrote oasis in the topic but meant allure
So tell me about the spa on Allure...
