  1. The death knell in our relaxing dinner came when one of the patrons at the table next to us (a group of barely-21s), who had been passed out the entire time we had been eating, vomited on the table while we were waiting for our check. :eek: :mad: I immediately got up and walked out, not even bothering to wait for my change. My stomach has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to vomit.

    NO WAY!:eek:

    Unbelievable!

    Hope the rest of your cruise goes better!:o

  2. For those of you who have not heard yet, there has been some information unofficially released on Carnival's new 2016 ship. Here we go...

    1. There will be no large Atrium - only 3 decks stopping at deck 5:

    2. Deck 4 will have the Casino from the existing conference room to the Blush Dining Room as exists on Breeze;

    3. Ship will be approximately 21 feet longer at bow and 30 feet at aft;

    4. It will be the same width as the Dream Class;

    5. There will be 3 pools (with a 1/2 in 1/2 out pool where the current Limelight Lounge is on the Breeze);

    6. More cabins with a capacity of 5,100 persons (an increase of 400 persons from existing Breeze);

    7. Cabins will be in existing empty space above deck 5 of Breeze Atrium;

    8. Deck 5 will have a number of "specialty" restaurants (paid) with a variety of themes;

    9. There will be a "Crew Serenity" area at bow of ship with same style chairs, hammocks etc. (no spa) like the existing Serenity areas on board Carnival ships;

    10. It will be around 5,000 tons heavier than existing Dream Class (130,000) and will most likely be called Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Vista, or Carnival Splash, most likely Sunrise!

    All of these are rumors that I have heard. Much of this will probably be true (reliable source) but some of it may not be true.

    Your thoughts?

    Isn't this just wild speculation at this point?:confused:

  3. On Carnival, unless you have this program, you can't get into your room until 3?? Why so late?

    We've always been able to get into our stateroom between 1:15 and 1;30.

    But in the interim, all over the ship and buffet, we have had to schlep our carry-ons.

    Thsi will be nice to be able to set our stuff in our cabin, and then eat, explore, etc.

  4. Got a similar call/offer a year ago. I found an online site where I verified it was, indeed a scam. Sorry don't remember the name, but I found it by googling repeatedly. (Not snopes.com)

    Good luck!

  5. I am 58 and had my left knee replaced last October. I used a walker for about 3 weeks and a cane for another 3 weeks. I did in-home PT 3, then 2 times a week for 6 weeks. I returned to work after 7 weeks, although I had to be sure to get up and walk around every hour. During this time I also did outpatient PT 2 evenings a week. The PT was a b**ch, I might add! :)

    I was certainly functional after 6 weeks, but not back to 100% range of motion, strength, stamina for 6 months or so! Anybody that says this surgery is a piece of cake is nuts! It was doable, obviously, but hard, hard work! I also need the other knee done, and initially had wanted to have both knees done at the same time. My surgeon advised against it and I am so glad he did -- I can't imagine how much more difficult that would be.:o

  6. Also have a 6 pack of 'plastic' like clothespins/clips (walmart?) - in my 'cruise box' - very handy for the bottom of the shower curtain to keep if from getting too 'intimate' and/or clipping your towel to your lounger on windy days! ;)

    Have added these to my "purchase before we leave" list --never occurred to me! Thanks!:)

  7. Others recommended to me Lawrence and Voyages Tours, and have checked into both of them. With Lawrence, I especially liked that there is no deposit up front, just cash when tour is completed. I was prepared to book with him for November. price for his full day tour, which includes sightseeing and beach, is $50.

    Please supply email or web site for "Gordon" if you have it so I can check it out.

    Thanks!

  8. Yes on my last cruise. I was looking over my statement midweek and noticed a 4.95 charge. Looks to be a soda or something and I didn't order any sodas onboard.

    Why those shifty bastards. I was so mad I stood up from where I was sitting in the Atrium and immediately punched a nun in the face. I was so steamed. Well the Guest Services folks saw me coming and one scrambled for cover while the other handed me wads of cash and apologized while begging for mercy.

    Well ok that didnt happen, I read further and a few lines later I saw the charge was removed. They caught it all on their own.

    Bwahahaha! Like!
