  1. I got this schedule copy from a friend CD who will remain nameless. And because of that I am happy to share info from this schedule that Carnival obviously does not feel is certain enough to publish, so I also will not publish the whole schedule.

Understandable. Thanks for at least sharing what you have! For whatever reason, there is never much info on these boards about the Glory. Any idea who the CD is on the Glory 04/04/15 sailing?

    THANKS AGAIN!

  2. There is also an app called Ship Mate that contains deck maps of each ship.

Came here to say exactly this. Use Ship Mate on every cruise because fishing that little paper map out of the bottom of my bag gets old really quick!

I should have also stated that the Carnival Hub App that is currently being tested on the Breeze also contains deck maps.

Really hoping they roll this out to the entire fleet quickly! Wish they had a listing of the roll-out dates for all ships. Having the deck plan/other features at your fingertips will be super helpful.

  3. If your wife won't mind the moment being public, then consider going to the cruise director at the beginning of the cruise. Perhaps it can be arranged for you to be part of the Love and Marriage Show? She could keep the video they of the show.

Personally, I'm more private and I like the idea of doing it (quietly) in front of the photographers. But some are more outgoing than I am.

Either way, Have fun with it! It's a lovely thought and your wife will be very happy! ;)

  4. Yes, all cabins have them. You can have your room steward empty it out for you if you wish. They don't get real cold, but they're OK.

FiremanBobsWife, you answered my last question about the Glory too - I sure am glad you know her well! Thank you so much!

  5. We had two very large oversized bags on the Breeze last week. It wasn't an issue at all. However, after buying souvenirs and not packing as neatly on the return trip as we did getting there, it was very difficult to zip them at the end of the cruise.

One bag came out on the conveyor belt completely open, dirty clothes hanging out of it. We used our trusty duct tape to get it under control, and called a porter over to help us.

Like I said, I'm sure they were each over 50 lbs, and the porter didn't like it one bit. He DID help us, but he complained the whole time. His actual words to the person standing next to us, "This woman is trying to kill me!".

Worth noting - the oversized bags fit just fine under the bed. I was worried about that - I know regular sized luggage fits and was worried about having to crawl over big luggage all week, but no problems with that.

  6. Hiya! I'm happy to report I'm leaving on the Breeze in just TWO DAYS!!! :D:D:D:D:D I'M GIDDY!

Can anyone who is recently off the Breeze let me know if the new Carnival Unlimited Internet plan is available on the Breeze? I'm not sure - if it's available - if it's something I purchase once on the ship or if I have to purchase it ahead of time.

Thanks in advance CC! You guys ROCK!

  7. Everybody! Everybody! FINALLY a question I can answer here on Cruise Critic! You guys have all helped me so much, I'm glad to be able to contribute.

Your deposit is the part that's non-refundable if you have to cancel....so paying a $50 deposit is HUGE.

Case in point - earlier this year we booked a family cruise when the $50 deposit was offered. One of my family members was diagnosed with a tumor on her spinal chord and had to cancel. Instead of losing her $250 deposit, she only lost $50.

So.... besides the obvious benefit of families being able to budget, the cancel fee is a benefit too!

  8. When you read the funtimes look at the bottom of the front page and it gives you all kinds of info such as where to go to get off the ship, arrival and departure times, and when you have to be back on the ship. There is also an emergency number that you can call when you are in port if needed.

REALLY?!?! I really gotta pay more attention! I never, ever noticed that on the FunTimes on the Ecstasy last week. THANK YOU so much for the heads up!

Have fun we just did this itinerary in January. Loved it and the ship!
Thanks, I'm really, really excited about it! :D
  9. You enter and depart your cruise on Deck 3 Lobby Deck.
So, Deck 3 when we first get on the ship on our first day, and at the end of the cruise when we're ready to go back home. Right? (Sorry for my lack of understanding here....It's been a long day!)

Tenders leave from Deck 0 forward and that is where you exit at all ports.
So, tender boats and getting off in port at a dock - for both we leave the ship from the same place - and that's Deck 0, all the way forward. Right? (Sorry again, My brain is overworked today!)

Not sure about La Romana, but the other 3 ports you dock and do not tender.
Great! Thanks for the info...I'll have to check into La Romana.
  10. Leaving on the Breeze in 52 days! :D woot-woot!

Last week we were on the Ecstasy and had trouble figuring out how to get off the ship - turns out it was level 3 (which only two of the four elevators on our floor went to).

What floor do we leave the Breeze from in port? What about tender ports? We are going to Grand Turk, La Romana, DR, Curacao and Aruba. Are any of these tender ports? If yes, do we leave the ship from the same floor or a different area?

    Thanks!

  11. Thanks DalesWife...I really appreciate that:) I have been searching all over for reviews.

I am really looking forward to yours

What itinerary are you going on? I think the Ecstasy rotates itinerary between the bahamas and Mexico...I might be able to post the Fun Times for you.

  12. Hi Guys,

I am sailing her in a few months and have been scouring the boards for reviews but they have been few and far between. I love to sail ships vicariously before I actually board them and reviews(especially picture reviews:)) always help me do that.

Can anyone point me to some.

    Thanks in advance.:D

Just off the Ecstasy yesterday morning. I wasn't planning on doing a review - because I had the same problem as you in the weeks before doing my cruise and just assumed since I found no reviews, nobody was that interested in that ship/itinerary. I'll do a short review, just for you! ;) I'll try my best to have it up by late afternoon.
